One year in 14 they are close and now revered. Sweet

That explains Smyl ('82) Linden/Bure ('94) and the Sedins ('11)... and they all have or will have their numbers retired in the rafters so if they all made it to the Finals, why is Mr. "We Choked" Naslund get his retired? He never got past the second round.

An old priest lay dying in a hospital. He had served the people of the
nation's capital for many years.

He motioned for the nurse to come near.

"Yes Father?" said the nurse. "I would really like to see Kathleen Wynne
and Justin Trudeau before I
die " whispered the priest.

"I will see what I can do" said the nurse. The nurse sent the request to
Ottawa and waited for a response.

Soon an answer came back; both Kathleen Wynne and Justin Trudeau would
be delighted to visit the priest.

As they were driven to the hospital Kathleen commented to Justin "I
don't know why this old
priest wants to see us, but it certainly will help our images and may
even help my next election prospects".

Justin agreed it was a good thing.

When they arrived at the priest's room the priest took Kathleen’s hand
in his right hand and Justin’s hand in
his left hand. There was silence and a look of serenity on the old
priest's face.

Finally, Justin spoke "Father, of all people you could have chosen, why
did you chose us to be with you at this time when your end is so near?"

The old priest slowly replied "I have always tried to pattern my life
and behavior after our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

"Amen" said Kathleen. "Amen" said Justin.

The old priest continued "Jesus Christ, our Savior, died between two
lying, thieving bastards and I would like to do the same.”

I cant see it. I was trying to figure out who is available to expose that Van would want to keep and I wouldnt trade Subban and a 4th for Sbisa/Gaunce/etc. I really hope Jimbo feels the same way

I would be shocked if Subban is a Canuck by the start of the next year.

Also sooner or later pucks will go in for Gaunce .

Sbisa and Dorsett would be nice...lots of money off the books.

Dorsett won't be recovered until the fall so he'll likely be exempt, and I doubt LV is going to want Sbisa seeing as they'll need forwards with some skill. They probably take Gaunce or Boucher or else Rodin during their exclusive RFA/UFA window before the e-draft

I'm assuming the old priest had pre-booked the old Harper gang to carry out the crucifixion.

I remember back in the day when people were trade Edler before his contract kicks in . Trade Bieksa when he had value. And of course the Sedins.

People more and more this year hate the turn the other cheek policy the Canucks have but as you can see back in 2011 playoffs it was in full display.

When Hamhuis and Rome were gone Canucks had no chance.

I do understand 2012 take another look but when you get a first round exit 4-1 you need to change things. And here we are five years later.

Things could have been so differnt with a few bottom finishes from 2009 -2015 when Gillis should have kept his word and changed the look of the team.

with Dorsett being injuried. Gaunce being the only other play worth taking and even though he's not worth even half as much as Sbisa is right now.

On year 2 of his AHL career, I think they will have a little more patience with him.

As for Gaunce, if he had a league average goal rate of 9% he still would only have 4-5 goals on his 50 shots. I know opportunity is limited, but losing him wouldnt be a big deal for me. Paying Subban and a pick would be worse

I would take the 70 cm of snow BC got over what Brandon got yesterday and today. There are people that literally have been stuck on the highway outside of Brandon for 12 hours now.

It rained for a few hours, then the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. Started snowing and the wind picked up to around 70 km/h with gusts up to 90 km/h and hasn't stopped. This is insane even for Manitoba.

It has nothing to do with patience. He is being passed by everyone on the depth chart.

I thought about that as well. I figure they will prioritize every other team and then might take a homerun swing with their Vancouver player, see if they can give a fresh start to a young guy and worse case have an AHL call up

Who knows if Dorsett ever plays again. I hope Sbisa doesnt get claimed. He's going into his last year and could fetch a pick at the TDL.

Gaunce probably the casualty. But u never know. Subban will be moved in a similar deal to the Shinkaruk/Granlund trade. Or be used as a sweetener in a bigger deal.

Maybe McPhee looks at our eligible players and says pass.
