Canucks have 4 RHD and 3 LHD . so for that reason I don't see Sbisa being moved until OJ is ready.
I think a RHD gets traded and I don't believe it will be Stecher or Tryamkin. - VANTEL
Tryamkin is a Lefthanded Defenseman(LHD)that prefers Right Defense(RD).
Sounds like McEneny also prefers the right side as a LHD.

I imagine this year the 6'3 or 6'2 Neill or Olsen will be on the Comets trying for a spot on the club - VANTEL
I'd be surprised if either of those two make the Comets.
Each has serious holes in their games. |

I would think OJ is at least 2 years away. - Marwood
That is why I don't see Sbisa going anywhere.
I think either Tanev( and NTC July 1) or Gudbrandson (RFA ) gets moved at the draft. |

Add in Brisebois if hes eligible and I would suspect that 3 of Billins, Shields, Negrin, Nilsson, maybe Robak will open spots for those guys. Just my guess, but I would hope since Canucks control Utica they cut the dead weight there as much as the NHL team |

Smart ass.
From having a sniff at the NHL. I know half the posters in here wanting him playing on the top pairing next year but I don't see any reason to rush. - Marwood
Absolutely....he's only 18, no need to rush him. |

What does he have left to accomplish in junior? - manvanfan
He won't be eligible for Utica so I don't see him being harmed by doing another year in juniors. He is definitely not ready for the NHL. |

Nothing IMO
Another year in the OHL is of no benefit but the difficulty lies in he either is on our roster or goes back without the AHL as an option. Seems like if he can show well he might be forced onto the Canucks at the cost of maybe Stecher going to Utica. |

Tanev is a much better defenceman than Gudbranson, if they want a tough guy knuckledragger just go get one in free agency. |

I have to believe it's got to be Tanev. I don't see how it's not Tanev. I can't see them giving up on Tryamkin this early. Gudbranson is needed for physicality. Stecher is much better offensively then Tanev. The three of them make Tanev expendable. - manvanfan

Tanev is the best defender they have, without him and Edler it's a train wreck back there, I don't see them getting rid of him. |

We r fine in the D toughness dept.
Tanev is a great piece to dangle IMO
The chance he is dealt could be very real for the right return.
Stars 1st would maybe be close enough if we r lucky.
Other teams could be suitors as in Arizona & the AV's. |

Yes we need another NTC so that in three years from now when we try to trade him he says thanks but no thanks |

A better option than Jr where he has nothing to learn.
Wasting a year in London is how i see it if not Europe or doesn't make the Canucks. |

Great, so flip him for someone who can fill a hole on our NHL roster. You can find dozens of Jordan Subban-type players begging for an AHL roster spot. We have more than enough offensive defensemen in the system and they're all currently and probably will always be ahead of Subban. - DariusKnight
I think there is a bit of exaggeration in this post.
1) If you can find dozens of Subban-types, then how can you flip AHL talent to fill an NHL hole? Seems to go against supply and demand
2) Can you have enough offensive defensemen? They seem to be a premium these days
3) Who do we have that would be considered better offensively? Only Neill has better junior numbers than Subban did (and not sure if you want to discount it for being in the QMJHL). Also he has let the Comets D in scoring the entire time he has been there |

Still has to be offered back to London 1st. I believe 8.7 (a) of CBA. |

Not aimed at you .
I find it funny that there is so much anger and print over a player that has not played one regulation NHL second. |

He is by far the best defensive defenceman Van has. He can't score though. He isn't physical enough to clear the front of the net. Van doesn't have that top end D guy to score 50 points a season to allow Tanev to play his defensive game. It's more about creating an equal defence as a whole unit. |

I'd rather they lose like they are now, somewhat in games, did you see the Colorado game the other night against Winnipeg...that was just embarrassing and deflating for the players. I don't want that.
There's bad, and then there's really bad. |
