My biggest disappointment this season has been markstrom, I expected him to take the reigns from Miller for starting goalie. - SRam19
he isnt played enough to be sharp. He never had the chance this season.
I like him better than miller for sure but the lack of play has him out of form |

Completely agree. I was pulling for Marky too but clearly he isn't going to be our top goalie moving forward. |

For me, I dont think Willie would have ever let him take the reigns so while its disappointing he hasnt played well enough for an uproar, my disappointment is between Gaunce's 0 goals and team low .09 points per game, and (if AHL things count) JV still 1 point back of Chaput in Comets scoring |

Millet exceeded most expectations, he had played great.
Marky still deserves a shot and will likely get it, as he's under contract next year. |

EK thinks Benning is one of the worst GM's in the league
Worst GMs:
Jim Armstrong:
Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because he lost Backes for nothing doesn't mean he should have been afraid to lose Shattenkirk the same way...You can't just sabotage your own playoff run to make up for what could have been fixed long ago with better management... Backes could have stayed. He wanted to stay. But you could;t wait until he was a UFA..
Jim Benning:
This may be a bit unfair because i really LOVED what Benning just did in the most recent deadline...and I believe he hired a very good coach in Desjardins... Also I don't think he has all the support he needs from the ownership....That said, he hasn't really made any moved to keep this team vital the past few years...
Garth Snow:
I like Garth and again the circumstances surrounding the Islanders have been ridiculous at times...Garth made two great moves several years ago on the same day to solidify their D, but stuck with Capuano a few YEARS too long and has been unwilling to trade ANY asset or take any chance to bring the needed talent upfront to help keep Tavares happy...
enjoy the games tonight... |

I think you are actually talking about set backs and stumbles.
Losing is more of living on the streets . OD ing from Drug Overdose Ending up in prison .
Many recover from set backs , it is a lot harder to recover from losing
Your life lesson is like telling a grand child it is okay to be a loser in life someone will feel sorry for you and give you something out of pity |

Whoever Canucks get at draft they won't make roster for 2017. So here's what Nucks could do for balance and development of new players next season.
Assuming Nucks make no more moves and allow Vegas to take Sbisa. DD traded to Vegas to lay off Guance. Tanev traded prior to NTC kicking in for draft picks and junior prospects.
Sven Bo LE
Granlund Hank Goldy
Danny Sutter BB
Guance Gaudette Rodin/Boucher
Extra Cram/Skille. Chaput and Megna AHL support for JV and Dahlen.
Edler Stecher
Hutton Tree
OJ Guddy
Extra Pedan.
Larsen and Beiga AHL support with Brisbois |

Interesting...John Abbot was predicting that Boeser would join the team before the end of the season. That would be exciting. I'd pay to see Boeser and Goblin in some meaningless games. Who am I kidding, I pay every game anyways |

you're just trying to cover your ass. Losing is not bottoming out in life, it could be defined as anything that you're not successful at, which is a broad-spectrum. Whether you call it losing or a setback, it's still not winning. You learn from your mistakes and it makes you a better person for it.
In professional sports it's a method that can be either used, whether purposely or not, to your advantage. When the Islanders drafted Denis Potvin 1st overall in 1973 it set in motion, over five drafts, the making of a dynasty. It started with that first overall pick in 1973. |

I know this site is made up of peoples predictions but this is a strange year and because of that a number of many things can happen including the Sedins wanting a trade. So lets wait until after the draft before we make our rosters

I am not covering my ass .
I can tell you that there is not one person on the Canucks including the GM saying lets go lose so we can draft higher.
Did you know that your mighty Leafs and all their high draft picks have the same amount of regulation wins as my team today.
There are a number of people that think they know more than the actual people running the club ,but thankfully they don't do anything more than just let their voices be heard. |

Actually you're dead wrong, they did try and purposely lose last year (which you've even said yourself) after the TDL and they'll do it again this year.
When the Canucks get better because of the high draft picks you'll just be eating a lot of crow |

wow my opinion of EK just dropped....JB is one of the better drafting GMs in the nhl. He didnt factor that in. his contract creativity in luring tree here has made an impact. Same for Stetcher, whom he got for free. He's acquired UFAs in miller LE and vrbatta. How about the gudbrasson trade, he's forgotten that too. If nothing less our D got rebuilt this year. |
