It gets windy on the prairies, but man does St-John's ever get (frank)ed.

I've hear that visitors find it windy on a calm day, and the locals have a puzzled look saying wtf?

Maritimes just get poop on constantly.

I have co-workers that live out there. Some have moved here over time but most still live there.

I read a comment about how Gaunce got 18 minutes. I didn't watch the game but saw the highlights. He has had more chances then most. He just needs to get 1 and I think more will come. He really isn't playing bad. Just can't find the twine.

Van needing a goal though, WD is like I should bench Goldobin and make sure Boucher doesn't play but Cramarossa should get more time.

Price made some real nice saves.

The one thing I see with Gaunce is that he's a 3 zone player. He's still young, and is never going to be a big goal scorer but i'm in no rush to get rid of him. He does a lot of small things right.

Very good on the defensive side of the game. Hard worker. He never really had much more offence in junior either. Put up points but was never expected to in the NHL.
He's 14 on the team in SH TOI per game at only 27 seconds.

maybe goldobin was doing crap like going to the net with the puck and not dumping it into the corner like he was told. Bench the f*cker

Monday when I was at work, It was raining for a few hours with lightning and thunder. Then it got windy, the temp dropped 10 degrees and started snowing. The wind has been at least 60 kmh since monday afternoon. People have been stranded on the highways for 2 days now. They got them all to a same town about 20 minutes from Brandon.

Snow can be moved. Ice cannot.

I saw he had chances. Highlights don't show most of the play though.

Kid just needs to get a few good bounces.
His game is solid & a few goals woul boost his confidence huge.
He is capable of 10 goals a year

His ceiling was always considered 3rd line with intangibles. Considering where he was drafted, that's fine if he reaches it. You need players that do their jobs on all lines to be a contender. He's going to turn 23 in a couple of weeks, there's no need to panic. People that were expecting more out of him......., well that's on them. If he can continue to grow his game in all zones i'm sure he'll be a fine bottom 6 guy.

He has made a huge stride in his overall game from this year to last. He has hit a couple posts this year. Give him some PP time.

Can't keep winning games otherwise WD might get to keep his job

Have any of Megna, Skille, Chaput done enough this year to deserve another 2 way contract for next season? Is there anyone else out there that could take their jobs?

Bo, Sven, Loui, Hank,Daniel, Granlund, Sutter, all protected.
Goldobin, Boeser, Gaudette, Virtanen & Labate vying for 6 remaining jobs along with our 1st round pick also included.
Gaunce if not taken in expansion also on this list making it 8 forwards, with 5 remaining positions.
I would think Labate is a lock if he has a decent training camp (waiver eligible) & I honestly do not believe any decent young players will slip past Vegas when sending down to minors as I believe that players such as labate, Pedan will be taken as they may be better options for Vegas than what teams like NJ, Toronto & Arizona offer through expansion draft. The team may have to have them on the 23 man roster to avoid losing them.
Back to the forwards, 4 positions remain, assuming they want to get some more youth regularly into lineup they keep 2 of the remaining group, 1 spot will be reserved for a Dorsett/Cramarossa type leaving possibly 1 position open for a Megna,Chaput or Skille. Of those 3 Chaput being younger and able to play Centre would make the most sense.IMO.

Apologies for the novel.

Lucky bounce for MTL, not his fault. Only way to beat him last night was with a deflection, same with Price. Great duel.

Oilers plan - pick forwards wait 10 years and then trade for a D
- manvanfan

Actually, the Oilers Plan is: Hire Golden Era ex-Oilers to run the team, suck for years, get lucky in the draft and pick multiple 1OA forwards. Pray for 10 years that it'll all come together, fire all ex-Oilers and hire the guy that ultimately traded the 2OA franchise C for a mediocre RW on his old team and then traded the 1OA that same draft year for a mediocre D.

Result: Oilers still suck, McDavid just is that good.

Shanaplan: Admit that you're going to tank, then use Rogers money to hire the (supposedly) best coach in the game, your mentor who really should be retired. Then sell off every single decent player you have and stuff the team with youth and AHL and ECHL talent, sink to the bottom of the standings and use the fact that it'll be the team's 100th season and Rogers who owns the NHL TV contract to make sure you win the 1OA. Manage to stay in the hunt for the playoffs because of a weak division where the actual playoff teams all were struggling throughout the season, buy at the TDL and say the plan is working.

Result: Toronto still sucks, TBD

Yep, in the unlikely event we qualified for post season that would translate into a 4-0 first round exit.

He's a 2 zone player, once he gets in the O-zone he's brutal - not one goal this year - that's insane!!! He's scored 1 goal in 85 shots!!

I agree this kid does a lot of little things right, but if you cant score, there's someone else that surely can. I just don't believe this guy belongs in the NHL, and for that reason, I doubt LV take him in the draft.
