This right here makes me question the validity of the article. Management suggesting that their players go out and have 20 pints

Even in my booziest of days, there is no way I could throw back 20 pints

A realllllll convenience narrative there...

(Though I did see the sports science episode where they looked at the impact of skittles on Lynch, it apparently gave him a boost)

Why not? His excellent player development, if they go full rebuild he may be a fit.

when the frank did I say that? They are hopefully mature adults. They can have a beer or glass of wine the night before a game.
- CanuckDon

so then what exactly is your point? you believe the article that these guys are having 20 pints on the regular?

i'm pretty sure that aquillini told them to. amirite?

So let me get this straight, an NHL player having a beer the day before a game and picking up chicks now constitutes a P.R nightmare?

Why go to a former AHL coach if it didn't work the first time?

Players should not be drinking the day before a game.

My point is players shouldn't get blasted before games. I don't believe the article it's trash. What is your point? Have any sarcastic comments or images to post?

I do. I don't want a bunch of Kassian's on my team. Thankfully, the majority of the players don't appear to be big drinkers.

my point is that i disagree with:
Players should not be drinking the day before a game.
- CanuckDon

i think that players should be treated as adults and suffer the consequences when they abuse that privilege.

I agree with you. So no, we really don't disagree.

Edit. Since when does going out "drinking" refer to one glass of wine. If I am going out drinking (tonight at the game) it refers to lots of drinks. Not one. That would be a "drink."

Players are paid millions of dollars to play the game, yes.
You subsidize that salary, as does ownership.

Does that mean these individuals are owned, or owe you anything, No.

I could give two (frank)s if a player goes out and knocks back a 24 before a game, as long as they come to play and give it everything they got.

You are not entitled (through your wallet), to tell anyone how to go about living their lives. This stuff has literally been in the game since its inception.

Find something relevant to female dog about.

Most of them found out yesterday that they are losing their jobs at the end of this season. They are doing everything they can to throw the Canucks under the bus. Losers!!

I am stating my opinion you jack ass. I am not complaining as the team doesn't have a drinking culture. They are the tamest team in the league.
