I guess they feel they have enough money for this year
I will still pause and wait on this, since they did make the 2 best free agent signings last year on the cheap with brown and alexander
problem is they only locked them up for 1 year - homiedclown
What would you have them do with two journeymen LBs? You're fooling yourself if you think Ragland can't do everything Brown could do in a 4-3. And they're diligently trying to bring Zo back. As they should. Whaley deserves a poop ton of criticism... but when it comes to free agent signings, he's been really solid. |

what a long strange trip it's been |

Higher priority FAs to re-sign, and despite the versatility and qualities he brings as an intelligent ball player and very effective against the run, his coverage abilities are sub par. This draft is jam packed with quality DBs. Might as well get an equally effective CB/S for a quarter the price in the 1st two rounds.
I love the signing though. |

at least the sabres made the playoffs...and, imo, were it not for the cheap shot by mike Richards against tim Connolly (of all people,) I think the sabres would've beaten the flyers in six that year |

a lot of people know very little about him, myself included...a lot of people who use pro football focus probably won't be able to get a handle on him either...let's hope this is a good sign for McDermott and company |

they appear to have filled a hole or two on D with players who have started on a part-time basis ... so let's wait and see what they really have in Sept. They still have plenty of holes remaining, OT especially and more D-backfield, in addition to WR.
if they do end up landing another TE as they are reported to be interested in, I am curious as to their apparent plan to have a West coast Offense with running and short passing game. Curious because that has been TT's issue...hitting the short pass over the middle in stride, and using the sidelines.
Give them credit though for making moves. |

Richards is a slick player and he disguised a very dirty hit on Connolly...ole' timmy was giving them fits in a defensive mode and he needed to be taken out...Richards and the flyers were/are old school and he got the job done |

I liked sal's explanation this morning...whether it's true or not remains to be seen, but his hypothesis is based upon teams going smaller to defend against the pass...he pointed to inside linebackers weighing in the lower 200's and the number of d-backs in coverage...he thinks that the bills are bulking up to run over the smaller defenses, and not strictly through ground-and-pound, but also with a short passing game...maybe more reliance on screens and mismatches with te's out wide against smaller nickel backs |

pats always try 2 te's to spread the field, if both healthy
my guess is the bills are trying that approach
I would still like 1 decent wr and a rt before they go bargain shopping next week |

Very curious to see the direction they go in with receivers. Drafting a #2 will be a cinch, and signing a Kamar Aiken seems like a no brainer to me. Cheap and short contract, versatile receiver for depth. |

I like him, ball hawk who is not afraid to get physical in stopping the run
I think they are fine for db's now if taking 1 at 10, aside from depth
if your taking a cb at 10, you better grab 2 wr's off the market this weekend then |

if he can tackle, that would be a huge upgrade as many players on d seemed to forget how tackle last year |

I think we are set at WR....
Sammy - 2500 Career yds 17 TDS (cant play 16 games)
Powell - 143 Career yds 0 TDS (STUD)
Listenbee 0yds 0TDS (never played a down)
STACKED at WR. No need to find a few in FA and draft a few more. We have a Rugby team.... we are good to go. |

This shouldn't be overlooked, and is also for the Gionta Hat0rz
4 - Playoff pedigree
Between FB Pat DiMarco, FB Mike Tolbert, K Stephen Hauschka, S Micah Hyde and G Vladimir Ducasse there is an enormous amount of playoff experience. These players have been in NFL environments that have taken that next step and knows the commitment necessary to reach the postseason.
Hyde has been on a perennial playoff contender in Green Bay. Ducasse reached the postseason in Minnesota in 2015. DiMarco was part of Atlanta’s run to the Super Bowl last season. Tolbert was part of Carolina’s run to the NFC title in 2015. And Stephen Hauschka has kicked in two Super Bowls and won a championship. |
