Tough loss last night.Especially when your a flyer fan living in Toronto. This team needs an upgrade at the forward position. What do you guys think of philly trying to get Evander Kane?Rumors were out there that he is available. Buffalo needs defensive help.Besides Provorov I think this is something the flyers should explore. If he keeps his attitude right he has everything they would need in a winger.

Patience.

They are what we thought they were this season and brighter times are ahead.

Continue to draft well and concentrate on finding good forwards with size, who hopefully can produce.

Stanley Cup 2020 or bust!

With Tampa also fighting for a spot there are just too many teamsfor the Flyers to beat out. Their goalie was better than ours last night and our 8M men were unable to come up with a big a goal....again
They will end up picking in that 10-12 area, draft a guy who will be ready in 3-4 years.

Dave Hakstol is not the answer

Can't believe they gave 78 an extension
When 76 gets extended I'm gonna cry

Hakstol made a mistake starting Neuvirth. Neuvirth is quickly becoming the new CV. I do not understand the gushing love for Neuvirth and seeming indifference to Mason.

I agree with Bill that they may not have won with Mason last night. Sure would have liked to see him play though.

Also, the finish on this team at 5 on 5 is awful. Sweet sassy Christ how many wide open nets did they have last night?

Frustrating loss.

Can we just be honest and stop calling a chase for the playoffs...The team will provide some entertainment for a couple a games, but that is about it. It is really time to look at what potential some of these young guys have and give them a cup of coffee with the big club...They also need to play Mason...you need to see if he can put it back together because I would prefer to see him and Stolarz next year, not Neuvy.

Fell asleep when it was still tied. What's the general mood from the game?

A hot motivated goalie playing his a$$ off, and he's back on the bench after a day off?

I don't understand this coach, and his decisions

I have been saying it all year. Patience is great. Yes this team has some good young prospects coming . Yes I understand these kids need to develop. Unfortunately by the time they get here the "core" will be on the downside of their production. Last night the Flyers played a team with 6-7 rookies who skated right through the Flyers from about the 10 minute mark until the final 5 minutes.
are the Flyers rebuilding????are the Flyers Re-loading????? does Hextall have a plan that simply hopes some of these "prospects" turn the fortunes of the team that will clearly have some albatross contracts by the time Hextall deems some of these kids ready.

with 7 rookies.....I keep hearing how great the prospects are in Philly....Nice to see a team actually give the kids a platform to preform.

Unless hextall gets serious and builds through the draft with top ten picks. This team will never compete with a team like the leafs.I don't care who is coming. They will not be better than Marner,Matthew's,Nylander etc.If I were gm I would do all I can to trade both Giroux and voracek.Pick in the top ten the next few years. Then you have a chance.Or you make some amazing trades that can help this team now.Which will cost you your D prospects.

On the other hand, the Flyers' goalie was not screened on any of the Toronto goals

As the commentators mentioned at the time, MDZ screened him on the 2nd goal while trying to block the shot.

I think things will really start happening this summer. The expansion draft has caused teams to hit the pause button, IMHO....

The kids dont learn playing in the NHL.They need to play in the lower leagues to learn.

The Islanders were making Andrew Ladd a healthy scratch earlier in the season, he now has 7 goals more than Giroux.

On December 15 the Islanders were 14 points behind the Flyers, they are now 5 points ahead.
