Thought he had an assist in buffalo. I get what your saying but I strongly believe neuvirth is expansion fodder and that was a big part of it

And what if Vegas doesn't take him? Why would they want him?

Absolutely. He said on stage to keep it coming that he feeds off it. He definitely pushed the envelope.

What actually surprises me is when people DO boo. They knew who they were seeing. lol

Then the Flyers will have a goalie signed under contract to a reasonable cap hit for the next couple seasons.

The Flyers are missing out on top level talent. They don't have it in goal (although last season it's the reason they made the playoffs). The Flyers are also filled with way too many role players even though their salaries dictate otherwise. Bottom line a lot of players haven't developed the way the Flyers hoped and others have just been overrated and subsequently, overpaid.

After Voracek the top-end talent on this team drops off. Voracek isn't having an amazing season either. He looked a bit off last night, perhaps still concussed from that head-shiver to the face he took in Buffalo (no call refs, waahhhh!). Giroux should be top-end talent like his contract dictates but it appears he's just been run down with too much mileage on his slight frame.

I really don't like that Hextall nepotism'd this coach and overall I feel like the Flyers are still chasing the major NHL trends instead of setting them.

Looking forward to seeing some new faces at camp next fall.

IMO, Read/Couturier/Cousins should be our 4th line in a perfect world, maybe not even a perfect world. That is all they are capable of in this league. Having them playing on the top 2 and 3 lines shows the pure lack of depth this team has.

It's really not hard to understand. Mason looked tired against Buffalo and gave up a lot of juicy rebounds as well as three goals on medium range wrist shots (although one was deflected). Hakstol didn't want him playing eight straight games in 16 days when he had a healthy and rested Neuvirth on the bench.
- Feanor

are you (frank)ing kidding, he looked tired?.....Nuevy blew the last start in the outdoor game and he blew last nights start. The other guy was 3-0-1 in his last 4 starts with a GAA under 2. Mason can rest in about 4 weeks. They couldn't afford to lose last nights game and they did....no thanks to a stupid coaching decision.

I think if you aren't familiar with his work, even if you are warned before you see it, it can be a little shocking. There were a few people who walked out.
He did a few jokes during the show I saw that went to a place I didn't think even he would go.

Looking forward to new 4th line and depth players? Hextall has yet to make any big splash in Free Agency and nothing shows he will this year again. He has not made any big trades to bring in a high profile player and I wouldnt count on it this summer either.

Well he did have a son who died just like Eric Claptons kid did.

You should have seen him when he first started this schtick. It was 50/50 whether he'd be booed off the stage or not.

Stolarz has had a pretty rough year down there. Lyon has looked slightly better. I'd be surprised if they don't bring in another veteran

Couturier had one of the worst games last I've seen from him. Great timing.

He's a 3C though. Not even a special one. Just a 3C

The league has trended away from those big deals and massive UFA signings. Consider the salary cap. Should the Flyers drop 7-8M for a 37 year old Joe Thorton? Should they pony up 6M+ for Kevin Shattenkirk or Alexander Radulov? Should they have thrown millions at Ladd last year? Did they even have it?

New faces I'm looking forward to is a wink at the kids in the Flyers system. Ruby, Lindy, Myers, Morin, Sanheim and the rest. I can see Leier and hopefully Laughton make some noise in camp as well.

Lyon is the Phantoms best goalie right now, and also their oldest goalie. If they aren't going to sign another veteran goalie, I think Lyon's more likely to be on the Flyers in 17-18 than Stolarz.

It wasn't an accident that Hextall signed the best college free agent goalie last year and burned a year off his ELC. The Flyers clearly like Lyon a lot.

One goalie won and one goalie lost.... no assumptions needed after two more stoppable shots went in. He has simple poop the bed his last two starts. But that's OK because you think the other guy looked tired.

I've seen him in person, and all the roasts he's done on Comedy Central. Also all the Jeselnik offensive shows.

Custer wasn't a true general. He was brevetted to Major General in the Civil War, and then afterwards he was reinstated at as lieutenant colonel.

Basically he held the title, but non of the real responsibilities of a General.

Can someone explain to me why Wayne seems to get a pass when all of the other top forwards don't? Is it because he makes a lot less money and less is expected of him?
