No need to have to fill another hole and his share of goals would be massive to replace. If he would've scored even 5 goals in the first 2 months, he'd be looking at close to 40 on the season. I'm willing to take the chance on him.

I know he's a large part of it, but scoring goals hasn't been this team's problem this year, not since Eichel has been back at least. I do think his production can be replaced, especially with a better transitional defense. That being said, the point can be made that there's no point in trying to replace his production when you don't have to.

The problem is, as 365 said, that there are so many other holes to fill. A guy like Kane is a luxury for good teams. This team isn't that yet.

I'm assuming he wants a big raise probably a 2-3 million dollar increase I'm sure him and his agent are going to have all the Leverage when they bring up all the stats this year about how he's the best player

First of all scoring goals is still a problem for this team and would be a massive problem without Kane. Robbing Peter to pay Paul doesn't work and there will still be plenty of money left over to fix the D with Kane.

i dont believe this would happen. Majority of scoring woes stem from the fact that our defence cant move the puck. bad passes leading to turnovers, getting stuck in our own end with our top offensive guys on the ice, icing the puck repeatedly etc. Im not saying it wouldnt be a loss or whatever but we're not going to suddenly stop scoring if Kane is moved for a puck moving top 4 d-man.
