Makes a lot more sense that Gaudette is going to Utica and Shore is comeing straight into the bottom 6

yep, not an environment you want to expose a young prospect to. WD would also be at loathe to play him as well.

Nah. The best is to throw them to the wolves. Let them fight for alpha dominance.

It looks like Nucks may want to shut down a couple wounded vets like Sutter and Tanev. Maybe Granlund. Though I think he wants to play to get 20 goals to improve his contract negotiations.

So what replacements should Nucks bring in to finish season?

Grenier doesn't seem to have the grit or speed to play in the NHL. Labate may lack hockey IQ to position himself well enough to hit and be a difference maker. Biega playing forward has been more effective then those two.

Do we need to see more of them or other AHL guys?

Or is it better that if JB can bring in some college guys, free agents and/or drafted players, now for a look. Team needs more young fast skating talented guys who can play an up tempo and gritty game.

Shutting down veteran players to play AHL players and kids is, by and large, a late season tank, much the same as they did last year. At this point, it should be all about the future.

Last season all they did was bring in Tree. The other vets were legit injured. They did play more of Mcann and JV. Equivalent this season could be Boucher and Goldy for a good look.

At this point not much to tank. They can't sink lower to one and two spot. Vegas has 3rd spot. So 4-8 spot lotto is a whatever.

I just see this as development and free opportunity time to see how some younger guys can play. Have the Nucks see what they need to work on. Plus from an entertainment point something for us fans to look at in these dog days.

That's Donna's job, I'm assuming he's put them away for the year, finally.

Boucher is looking like a good waiver find. I like what I have seen so far.

Goldobin actually reminds me of Kessel. Lazy and cheats up ice but worth the offence if he produces.

There were some mysterious injuries last year, don't kid yourself.

Why do you keep saying Vegas has third spot, that's completely false, they don't....so get a clue.

Does Vegas have the 3rd spot outright? If the canucks finish 3rd last, do they get the same odds as Vegas for the lottery, or are they automatically placed into the 4th overall spot?
