Marchand tied for league lead in goals..... wouldn't Hab fans love to see Marchy win the trophy named after the best Montreal Canadien of all time??

Seriously though, he has to be in the conversation for the Hart trophy now too.

I would need a Triscuit knees contract clause. Still better than Hayes with bad wheels though.

Jimmy Hayes wasnt half bad last night. He was pretty productive and had a great screen on the Chara goal.

Beleskey was moving better as well. Nothing offensive but he is turning it around.

You are joking right? You can't seriously have anything good to say about Hayes. He is all bad, all the time. He hasn't improved at all under Cassidy. He should be sat in the press box for the rest of the season, period. Any of Schaller/Blidh/Acciari would be a major improvement over Hayes. Sheit even like Dougie said... Morrow would probably be an upgrade over Hayes on the wing.

Mahewman must have missed this post. Or the 0+/- must be the production that he's talking about.

I would take almost anything other than Rinaldo on that wing at this point. Its brutal. I hope he gets selected by vegas or bought out after this season. Still dont understand how he gets a spot over someone from Providence like Acciari, Kuraly or Heinen.

Park his ass in the press box or better yet send him down. Maybe AHL games will give him a confidence boost? If not, (frank) it leave him there.

I wonder of there is some Dorchester crime syndicate strong arming the Bruins to keep Jimmy Hayes and his double chin in Boston and not waived and sent to Providence.

I was thinking Hayes is just really good at giving Handy J's.

I mean i understand its the cool thing to bash Jimmy Hayes but did you watch the game or just look at the box score? He only played 5 minutes but he was still visible in the game and He directly led to a goal on his screen.

I dont think Jimmy Hayes is very good but he did score goals before he got here and his confidence is gone. Does he have a one way contract? I feel like sending him down to Providence would have been smart to give him some more playing time.

There is a lot of Jimmy Hayes hate on here. The reason why I bash him constantly is because he is invisible more times than not. 5 minutes of good hockey and 1 good play every 20 games or so is not enough to earn much praise. Sure his confidence is shot, or maybe he really isnt very good and is being exposed now. We wont know.

I agree with you that he should be sent down to hopefully get a shot in the arm. And if it doesnt work, you just leave him there and hope vegas takes him or just buy him out.

Right now though, examining his body of work since coming to boston, I still say with confidence that he is a terrible player.

It's not even that it's the "cool thing," it's just a fact. Why do you think he was limited to only 5 minutes of ice time? The only only player limited to such a piddly amount of ice time was Cehlarik, and he's a rookie with barely 10 games of experience in the NHL, and he even played almost a full minute more than Hayes.

Yes, I watch just about every Bruins game, and Hayes is an absolute ghost 99% of the time. The only memorable moment he's had recently is skating past a goalie when a puck is coming towards the net. If that's your biggest contribution in recent memory, then it's very questionable whether or not you belong on an NHL team.

He just sucks man... that's all there is to it. I feel so horrible for him that he gets paid $2.3 million to be a hype man/glorified cheerleader.

Not something I complain about. Marchand is eying the art Ross and Richard trophies, maybe the Hart too. Hope he gets them all and spits in the face of all the haters.

Agreed. Nobody predicted this and if they did, they're a liar. What he is doing is nothing short of amazing. I hope all the Marchand haters (frank)ing choke.
