Your ability to take accountability is admirable, and something the rest of the posters here could learn from.

They usually don't have time to lift anything, too busy talking about how they cross fit.

Honestly, that top line hasn't been getting it done lately. Aside from McDavid, they're simply not generating enough and are making WAY too many mistakes (particularly Draisaitl). Split up Connor and Leon and give Slepy or Kassian a shot with McDavid.

Maroon- McDavid- Kassian
Lucic- Nuge- Eberle
Hobbit- Draisaitl- Slepyshev
Khaira- Letestu- Pakarinen

I'd also support dropping Klefbom down a pair for a few games until he and the team around him gets his stuff in order. Larsson can only cover for so much.

Might be time to give Pulju another look. Even for just one game.

Haven't watch the Oil much lately, but Maroon and Kassian being on McDavid's line at the same time sounds kinda messed up.

Kassian has played like a second line winger for the past 5 or 6 games.

The guy is flying out there tonight. Making smart plays and skating hard.

They better sign him.

Phew. Was starting to worry the Oilers weren't going to remember they were the Oilers this year.

Is it really any bit more surprising than the first time Crosby was flanked by Chris Kunitz and Pascal Dupuis? Kassian has been killing it and driving play on the 3rd line with his speed in particular being on display. As far as Maroon, the guy has 21 goals and has enough skill to keep up in the corners.

And I was beginning to wonder if Flames fans had stopped being douchecanoes. Nothing like a winning streak to give all you Flames fans the confidence to come crawling out of the woodwork, huh?

Have to reward the effective players when you lose a few.. Still seems.. I dunno haha

I think the clear solution here is you guys need to aquire Chris Kunitz.

It has more to do with the fact that we have nowhere ełse to post at the moment. If we had an active blogger, I'd continue to ignore the Oilers.

Noticed that eh? It's like cockroaches scattering when you turn a light on, except they come crawling out from under the appliances.

fukin oilers

Been too busy to watch much lately. Probably a good thing

All they need to do is string a few wins together to ice it and they just can't

Fuk

Likewise... but its hard as (frank) when McDavid and Talbot are the only consistent lifters on this (frank)ing team... Nuge and Eberle appear like 2.5 million dollar players as they age... sad really...

Nuge is not a 2C- I would rather Drai try and develop chemistry with Lucic and drive the blue paint...

I agree. However instead of Kassian or Slepyshev I say throw Nuge on the wing. He is having a rough year at C so maybe a move to wing lights fire under his ass.

Maroon-McDavid-Nuge
Lucic-Leon-Eberle
Pouliot-Desharnais-Slepyshev
Khaira-Letesu-Pakarinen/Kassian

Pairing Sekera with Larsson and softening Klefbom's minutes is also a solid idea, at least for a little while.

Khaira should be back in the minors.

Maroon-McDavid-Kassian (he's been fantastic over the past few)

Lucic-Nuge-Eberle (they're finally turning it on)

Pouliot/Caggs/Slepy-Draisaitl-Hobbit/Puj (he's getting called up soon)

Hendricks/Khaira-Letestu/Hobbit-Pakarinen/Hobbit
