Too early to give up on him, hopefully he has a good summer and kills it at camp. - VanHockeyGuy
Abosolutley. I'm still confident he can be a solid 3rd liner for the team. Top 6 doesn't look likely at the moment |

Ya there's still hope for him. - LeftCoaster
Still hope he can become a Chris Kreider(longshot), but even a Torres wouldn't be so bad(minus the suspensions/dirty hits). |

Even if he has a career as a third line energy guy, he's still a bust in my eyes. A 6th overall pick should bring better results imo, but whatever, can't win em all. |

I agree in this case, considering the players who were taken after him, but at least he'd still bring some return back on that 6th overall pick if he turns out to be a 3rd liner. It was a pretty strong draft, the Isles and Canucks just didn't pick the right guys.
In a weak draft, sometimes a 3rd liner isn't too bad when drafting outside of the top 5 but this wasn't the case here.
Also wonder how Haydn Fleury will turn out for the Canes, but dmen do take longer to develop than wingers.

There are generally a few busts in the top 10. Canucks and Islanders chose poorly |

Carol I have a question to see what you think. Lots of talk on here about the upcoming draft. What is your opinion of Canucks need with their first pick?
My thought is with Goldobin Dahlen Boucher Camarosa (fourth liner ) recently added , Boeser and Gaudette in the prospect pool already, our bigger need is on D.
They have been giving up 40 shots a game quite regularly and it should be addressed sooner than later. - VANTEL
I've been following the chatter on here a little, but I honestly haven't given much thought to the draft yet. I'd like to see where they finally land in the standings and how players do in the postseason. And we'll need something to talk about after April 9!

BPA between Liljgren or Mittelstadt whomever falls to us.
I'd like an extra 1st so as to pick D.
Of Foote Hague Makar & a few others D will be there. |

I am going to call BS on the food poison thingy. We talked about yesterday about Shutting down Tanev Granlund and Sutter. Then all within 12 hours 2 come down with food poisoning and we sign a third line center - VANTEL
We were wondering last night if maybe Tanev & Granlund took it upon themselves to try the change-up? Symptoms would probably be pretty similar to food poisoning...

A lot of college teams are still playing so I'm guessing CHL since those players are allowed to be signed and still continue playing. |

Man... you guys were seriously undermanned. I mean, it's not like the Pens are missing: Letang, Hornqvist, Hagelin, Cullen, Rust, Maatta and had to only dress 11 forward last second, two being call-ups and two call-ups on defense... Geez.
Also, here's my thought on that first goal being disallowed. I had a long conversation about this because I initially thought it should have been allowed. I promise I'm totally being non-homer.
1) Being in the crease BEFORE the puck which is a big part of this rule.
2) The "push" is subjective. He wasn't "pushed" until after the puck went through Murray's pads. They entered the crease together without being forced there.
#2 is the point people will argue back and forth, but I had two friends (a philly and rangers fan, so clearly bias TOWARD the Pens) and they both said he was not pushed in the crease. He was heading right for it. |

As much as I wanted it to be a goal, it wasn't. It was about timing. If he were driving the net after the puck arrived it would have been coincidental contact but he arrived before the puck and contact was made before the puck was on net. |
