it comes with the culture of the City. Much like New York Rangers, the arena is full of business people coming to games right after work (lack of blue sweaters in the stands at games). Last few times I have gone to Nucks games, it was pitiful how many Canuck sweaters were in the stands.

I was in a suit with 4 other suits. We were all loudly cheering for the Nucks. For me, it's the bandwagon fans that anger me more than the corporate crowd, which is fairly tame. How many of these Bruin's fans were Canuck fans before they beat us in 2011? It's a franking joke.

I thought you were to be humbled after your Burrows and Hansen predictions

I was right on Hansen. Extremely wrong on Burrows

He actually doesn't have any more leverage than a kid drafted out of the CHL. Boeser was drafted out of the USHL as an 18 year old which means the Canucks retain his rights for four years. So two more years.

All indications are he wants to sign and play for the Canucks though

- LeftCoaster

I get that but at the same time he could pull a vesy and go back for his last 2 years is what i meant.

He will be here to start next season. Its whether or not he goes on a playoff run with utica who could absolutely use a pure scorer or if he gets his 5 or whatever games with the nucks.

Yes, Walmart suits. I wore a classic pair of beige slacks, a blue collared shirt and a Donna name tag. That is more or less the standard walmart suit

No, it's time to get panicked.

He needs to quit playing for his team and sign now!

Or else we'll lose him for nothing.

One other note on the game (sorry Makita), Willie only played Labate 5 minutes. Why? Also, He quickly pulled Boucher off Horvat's line despite playing fairly well. Boucher led the team with 5 shots in 11 minutes (2nd least next to Labate). Why did he do this? Magma...He needed more Magma in a top 6 role

I am convinced Willie must be tanking. There is no other explanation for his fascination with Magme and Bartowski last year.

Maybe he heard Dreger say other teams are interested in him?

I found it hilarious that Marchand got more hats on the ice than Sedin did (one) after his last hattrick We have the worst fans in pro sports
- CanuckDon

Guess it spared us from further controversy if Granlund got a hatrick and went hatless.

I thought it was so Megna can muffin shot Bo's set ups in the slot.

Boucher's heavy accurate shot is needed to balance out the 4th line sitting on the bench

speaking of Granlund, It is quite remarkable that this is only his first full season in the NHL, and he is playing on a BAD team putting up decent numbers. I think Benning needs some recognition on that trade.

"Goldy didn’t know systems. Goldy was new. Goldy was rested and ready for the Canucks when they arrived in California. Goldy didn’t have to travel. Goldy played 5:51.

Shore was in Switzerland. He played his last game Saturday. The game finished at 11 pm.

He was up until 4 am packing. Just after 5 am, he took a 90-minute flight from Switzerland to Frankfurt. He then took an 11 hour flight to Vancouver. He got into YVR at 3 pm.

He played for the Canucks the next day. He played 14:07. He played the wing. He’s a natural centre."

I think they're trying to say Willie Desjardin is an idiot???

Nope, remember Granlund is good in spite of Benning.

I really wish I knew what happens behind the scenes. The part regarding Goldoblin makes sense, bring him in slowly, but the consistency in which rationale is applied to all aspects of the team is certainly frustrating

there has been a lot of reading between the lines messaging amongst the players. even the sedins have hinted at dissatisfaction with the coach. (sorry can't remember the day/article to link it.)

however, read into this quote what you want:
“(The confidence) is pretty high, I would say,” Burrows said. “It’s so fun to come into a team that has a total buy-in on what the coach is selling.”

http://www.ottawasun.com/...-leading-the-way-recently

on the other hand, the team still seems to be competing hard so maybe i'm reading too much into a couple/few quotes.

best glass half full i can muster is: skilled players should be developed slowly and properly. who gives a fcuk about the grinders/plugs.
