best glass half full i can muster is: skilled players should be developed slowly and properly. who gives a fcuk about the grinders/plugs. - RealityChecker
As far as I can tell, the organizations plan is to develop Magma at all costs |

The Province...
"Goldy didn’t know systems. Goldy was new. Goldy was rested and ready for the Canucks when they arrived in California. Goldy didn’t have to travel. Goldy played 5:51.
Shore was in Switzerland. He played his last game Saturday. The game finished at 11 pm.
He was up until 4 am packing. Just after 5 am, he took a 90-minute flight from Switzerland to Frankfurt. He then took an 11 hour flight to Vancouver. He got into YVR at 3 pm.
He played for the Canucks the next day. He played 14:07. He played the wing. He’s a natural centre."
I think they're trying to say Willie Desjardin is an idiot??? - LeftCoaster
WD has categories for players. It's a plug and play approach. For instance Guance who he's had playing wing since Chaput came up. Shore looks like a Guance to him. He gets the role and spot predetermined by WD.
Goldy on the other hand Canucks don't have anyone like him. So WD doesn't know what to do with him. Best to figure out over time with exposure here and there.
Just didn't know WD would expose him to some CDC experimental viruses too. |

Granlund has out scored Shink 19-8 this year. And all of Shinks goals have been in the AHL. Take that Whiskey |

Sign some stop-gap UFAS for next season. The Sedin's provide zero in the way of entertainment value, but I am not at the games live.
Never been into tanking a season but it is ok now as long as effort is still there. - Reubenkincade
No interest in stop gap UFA's. Waste of money & none worth having.
Rather a roster of players from within competing for spots. |

Ran simulator today. Took 20 tries for Nucks to win lotto. The Bolts and Isles and everyone else on list won before them. With Vegas and Avs taking it 3 times each. Lotto it's such a toss up and hoping for better odds is like buying more tickets for the draw. In the end you just lose more cause if it's meant to be it will happen no matter. |

Aren't they supposed to be the fools gold that turns into draft picks at TDL. What I heard from those saying don't bother panning for gold with younger CHL and College players. Right |

I would consider him as well, just to see if he can recover from a down year but depends on how they view these 20yo CHL free agents.
Laplante spent the season in the ECHL, so not sure whether these new signings will be destined for Utica or if they will need more bodies |

Stop gap UFA's have a purpose, they are NHL players fighting to keep their careers alive. Canucks lost Etem because Skille showed up on a PTO and outworked him. Putting Goldoblin in camp competing against a college FA like Reese for a spot wont bring the same fight IMO |

So that's more important then sending him the message hey we are too cheap to value you. That even if you project to have high end contributions to this low on talent team we don't think you are worth it. Like it's better to just stay in college for two more years and free yourself from coming to this team. |

I think there are a couple that could be useful in the way burrows and Hansen mentored the young kids. |
