Still seems like a waste.

As someone mentioned earlier, he is leading minute man on defense with 2 1st rounders and a 3rd rounder from last year's draft, he must be doing something right.

Like McEwen contract, it is signed for next season, so still at 47 this season, 29 next season.

Have to believe Canucks are all-in on youth movement.

I think it's a matter of making the organization better top to bottom. This guy might play in Utica his whole career and be a Biega type. JB seems to be good in the old scrap bin so far though!

Canucks as has been hashed here and rehashed, simply didn't have enough prospects in their pool to develop to elevate and replace these older guys... JB is regularly restocking the cupboard or trading the odd pick here and there to get guys from other teams who aren't getting a break or being developed correctly (Baertschi, Granlund)...

Ya, I understand that, I am looking at all the Benning signings and picks that will be added to the system next season.
Goblin, Dahlen, McEwen, Chatfield, Brisebois, Neill, Olson, Jasek, Zhukenhov, Abols, Virtanen, Boeser, Demko, McKenzie, McEneny that is potentially a lot of youth in the system for next season, gotta like that aspect of this dreadful transition period.
Stecher, Hutton, Tryamkin, Horvat all 19 of these players 23 or under.

Edit: Juolevi intentionally not added as I believe he will be in junior next year.

What ever happened to that shiny new Russian superstar that a few (one in particular) were just lambasting WD for not playing with the Sedin's.

Did he break a finger nail? Run out of Russian Vodka? Willie send him out for 20 pints because he's slumping?

I thought he was the new saviour,...

He is sick....writing him off already I see

Edit. and that's called a changeup. Willie is a fossil that pressures the young players into binge drinking

Adding some college free agents would be nice. Waiver and cap friendly ELC to work into Comets and add depth and competition for a couple spots. Just look at this season and last scraping the bottom of the barrel. Rather young guys decelopimg then pushing 30 journeyman hanging on to NHL relevance.

When players come here they suck and become ill and injury prone. When they leave they play on first lines of Cup or playoff teams or win won. #nosaviours4Nucks.

At this stage this organization has to go youth or be like the Flames or Leafs from a few seasons back. Some quality 30 year Olds will be okay if they are sprinkled in with the groups in Utica and Vancouver.
As a long time defensive minded player and fan I really wouldn't mind if we had some offensive entertainment.

I'm surprised they haven't shut players down for the season yet (Granlund/Tanev comes to mind)

I think it's safe to say given JB's recent trade acquisitions that he feels the same. I predict we see that type of player drafted in the first two rounds

Is that a Asian team, the win won wonders.

And when players come here, they are super duper stars that are supposed to be given 1st line minutes and team mates..Rodin, Goblin.
