What Shore just said in his intermission interview is very important. He chose the Canucks over other teams calling him because he knew they were giving younger guys chances and they were being offered the opportunity to succeed. Good sign for future FA signings if they can keep building a good rep

Listening on radio, how is shore looking?

Ya, any player that is ailing bad enough should be shut down.

Edit: next week the CHL season i over, maybe they wait till then to call up some junior players on emergency recall.

I want to see a Tree vs Chara tilt.....but its not gonna happen.....was nice to see when Backass come in and Tree, with his forearm held his head. (the mic's close to the ice are too good, did anyone else hear the ref tell him to "let go of his !@#$%ing head" ?

Are PP (heh heh) needs stability to get better......we haven't iced the exact same lines game after game for a long while really...can't get better without consistency.

I think Larsen would be good on the PP if he didn't have to be defensive....I think he will be a good offensive defenseman, on a team solid defensively. (Like Schultz in Pits) Just not here....

We should find a D with possible offence, even a little more snarl than Larsen, that's cheap, that has learned a pseudo Canuck structure.......................I wonder where we could find one?

I try to be Mr. Positive about everything Canuck, but I got to call a spade a spade. Makita put a splinter in my mind......and he's right. Goldy being sick, a game or two....Its game what 4? I get it...the more we suck, the potential better pick (or we suck hard and we still get bumped down because #lotto #oilers #weareallcanucksthereforewewon'tgetfirstoverallcuzbettman

I just want to not watch us lose on purpose, and would hope seeing a team worth watching. (everyone in the stands paid good money) I'm glad we are competitive.

If I had to pick between college free agents this year, or grabbing UFA NHL vet we could flip for picks at TDL, I would pick the NHLer. The college crop this year doesnt really have any that stand out to me as must-haves

a college player is a longer term commitment than a pick-n-flip UFA

Eklund better boost his servers ..EDLER scores
the longest pg.8 ever

I get that, but I'd rather not get long term commitment from guys that project as bottom 6 at this point. If you can load up on picks and keep that "long term commitment" spot open for end of next season, there might be better upside. I'd rather a 3rd round pick than a 22-24 year old rookie

Like it was pointed out earlier, guys are wanting to pick Vancouver for the opportunity, I dont think VAN will be a real contender for any good D prospects any time soon because they have a surplus of young players at that position blocking them

You just can't help yourself can you son? The "troll" was created by you disrespecting the good posters who have been here several years. In a nutshell i'm here until that changes.

29 players under contract for next season, I am sure they could get 1 or 2 of those types for you.

i get what your saying but i would look at it like a college player has some pro projection but a draft pick next year or after has none at this time

Normally I would agree (and I will be happy if we land Reese), but I am less thrilled about seniors with little pedigree. An underclassmen who excelled for a couple years, like Stecher, Krug, Bozak did and then sign have me more intrigued.

Those 3rd round picks, given JB's track record, seem to have higher ceiling/value to a rebuilding team IMO.

Again, I'd be happy to land 1 or 2 this offseason, but I wont lose any sleep if they miss out on this class
