This BS about whether or not the NHL will send its players to the Olympics is getting pretty ridiculous

The players want to go
The fans want them to play

Get your head out of your ass Bettman
Using the Olympics as leverage to get concessions from the players in another area is stupid
I freaking hate that guy
what a joke

It is kind of concerning since a lot of college players are doing this

Percentage wise it is still pretty low. Most either don't make it or sign where they were drafted. Petersen is my only worry tbh.

The percentage may seem low but in the last couple years it's been pretty on going
It's a loophole that players are using to their advantage get picked late wait to hit UFA
Sign for Max money( first rounder) pick their own team.. play in the NHL

Something needs to change, because just not drafting them doesn't work either, because then they really hold all the cards. But dealing with the NCAA is pretty much a non starter. They hold sway over the NFL even. The NHL is nothing more than a gnat.

I'm not sure I hate it, honestly... But they need to make it so any player under the age of 24 is still obligated to sign an entry-level contract with the team that drafted him.

24 is the magic number. It allows them some freedom for pursuing education and doesn't punish them for it. You get drafted and sign a contract, you're playing professional hockey. Even in the minors, that's a decent chunk of money. Minimum 42k a year. Most college grads are lucky to start at 25k and have to work their way up. It's a decent trade-off, IMO.

What can they realistically do? The NCAA would block them from signing a contract, the minute they do they're no longer eligible. That would open the door for the NFL to come in and say "well what about us?" If they think a guy needs another year they could draft him, sign him, and send him back to school.

The only thing I can think of is that the player would have to sit for a full year after he completes college if he doesn't sign with the team that drafted him. That's the only disincentive that doesn't encroach on the NCAA that would be enough to make guys sign with the teams that drafted them.

You're right, it is happening more the past few years. They need to nip it in the bud before it starts to become the norm. The teams need some assurances if they're going to draft a guy that he's going to sign with them.

Nope, but you heard it here first: Princeton with the upset.

I went a little nuts with the upsets this year, Princeton, Middle Tennessee(I just now saw they're actually favored, so I'm not sure that counts), K State and Bucknell.

I like Kansas State as well.

I bought tickets on Stubhub on Sunday. They've gone down $40 plus since then.

Coleton, Haydn, Caiden. Jesus, Gerbe spells better than that. Brevin? What? Was it a compromise? One wanted Brad the other Kevin? Brecon? I don't even know what the (frank) that is.

Cole is acceptable, Damon is ok, Konrad, and the rest are poope.
