Sorry what's the source on that for Reece signing?
He may not be a game breaker. Those are hard to get anyway. But he would be a good piece for a lack of depth team. Plus a player Canucks don't have now in their system. Good skating, great on boards and goes to dirty areas with good hockey IQ and now scoring touch. Maybe Labate physically but he doesn't show a feel for the game on doing that well. - Nuck4U

That's why I'm not very upset over Aston Reese. Even the "best" rated player from the NCAA free agent class isn't as good as probably the top 5 from last season. He's definitely not STecher or Vesey (who was drafted). - manvanfan

Seriously...?!? No Cup run with Pens as the sweetener. He could have burned a year off ELC playing for Nucks now. Wow, must be a location issue that did it for him. Which is usually a problem for Vancouver and attracting top American kids. |

location and quality of teammates. Pitts is a great choice. Wouldn't shock me if he is playing top 6 next season as they always infuse their lineup with young/ average prospects. He made the right choice. |

He's bigger, grittier and can score. Not a center though. Well it was a free shot at a good player. Too bad. Next guy on the list JB. |

Yeah they have those guys already playing up because of injuries. Guess he thinks he will impress in AHL and they give him a shot to show better with top 9.
But whatever he had a better chance here the fool. With his game guaranteed 4th line next season plus playing time on the second and 3rd line now for a feel.
It was the location that did it the most for him.
It's okay JB goes to the next available. Frack him.
Edit: this leaves more room and need for E Kane who's only a couple years older and way better of a player. Not popular cause of off ice issues but I think he's matured. Is a good producer. Plus they can get him for free if he chooses to stay UFA next summer. |

He's from Staten Island NY but guess he has ties to Pitt. It's close enough 40 minute flight or 8 hour drive. It's the North Eastern ring of location all the same.
Frack him. Let him break his back digging the Puck for Gino in an exhibition game for all I care now over the snub.
JB can try to go for these college free agents now. If BB signs they got 2 more contracts they can hand out to one of them for this season.

I know we like to underestimate the value of Nuck players as the Burr and Hansen trades showed.
But Vegas is getting a lot of breaks and will have have a decent roster that will compete and could be a bubble hopeful. They could even easily get 1OA and decent picks through all rounds and make some trades with extra expansion picked players.
So they will be right there with Nucks, Yotes, Avs and other struggling teams. If they get a good coach. Well look out. - Nuck4U

Caggiula has played 47 games in the NHL, he has looked a lot better than many of our players. Maybe that's not saying much, but it's not failing either. |

On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy will you be if both the coilers and laffs manage to (frank) up and miss the playoffs? |

The best part is, the way they are both playing right now it could happen
Then of course the Oilers could win another lottery |

"I know we like to underestimate the value of Nuck players as the Burr and Hansen trades showed."
That above was the whole quote not the part your millennial seat cushioned mind tried to tarr and feather (google the meaning son if you don't know it).
Many postings lambasted Burr as having no value to best we could hope for was a low 3rd rounder. Same but slightly higher with Hansen. By the trades JB made it showed their values were underestimated. The usual knocking of the good Nuck players that goes on until they go to other teams and are valued or do so much better. |

I'll take my sample of watching them the last many seasons over the 5-6 games they've played in their news respective teams. Why in the (frank) anyone would google the meaning of tar and feathered is beyond ridiculous. little early to determine, I think Ottawa fans might soon be wondering why they gave this guy a two year deal.
My quote and comment was referring to the many, many homer valuations such as yours. There were a lot fewer posters saying Burr isn't worth much and that Hansen was worth a second(which is what I was claiming). The vast majority of the chickens with their heads off around here were calling for a 1st for Hansen, two firsts for Tanev. I don't think anyone expected return like Dahlen, homers or not. I was just trying to say: talk about your own valuations, cause clearly you dont know what the (frank) youre talking about when referring to other posters on here. Or you have a very selective memory. |

Sorry, I need a refresher, what did the Burr ows trade net again? If I remember wasn't it a prospect that had fallen out of favour in Ottawa, but is he now determined to be a 1st line player, like that Russian guy Goldobin.
And I will state that I find HB canuck fans severely over value their players like you seem to be doing with Dahlen, Goldobin, Stecher, every damn NCAA player yet to be signed.
It's not that I dislike the trades or think they were bad in any way, but I think you need to temper the enthusiasm you have on these unproven prospects. Stecher is being put in situations way over his skillset and experience to handle, but that's not his fault, it's the fault of the team not having a 1-2 tandem defensive group |

your dislike of Burr and bag of pucks value postings have nothing to do with undervaluing. - Nuck4U
Benning found an absolute moron in Ottawa. I was bang on with his trade value. Most thought Hansen could get a late first or a second. We essentially got a late 1st and a 4th. Pretty damn close |
