Sorry, I need a refresher, what did the Burrows trade net again? If I remember wasn't it a prospect that had fallen out of favour in Ottawa, but is he now determined to be a 1st line player, like that Russian guy Goldobin.
And I will state that I find HB canuck fans severely over value their players like you seem to be doing with Dahlen, Goldobin, Stecher, every damn NCAA player yet to be signed.
It's not that I dislike the trades or think they were bad in any way, but I think you need to temper the enthusiasm you have on these unproven prospects. Stecher is being put in situations way over his skillset and experience to handle, but that's not his fault, it's the fault of the team not having a 1-2 tandem defensive group - Makita

The nucks might have a chance to spoil the coilers party, wouldn't that be nice. I had to laugh at lowe at the beginning of the year he said there has been some dark years but we have finally turned the corner when he should have told the truth and said we sucked on purpose to get a shot at 1st overalls and we finally got the player to turn the corner |

He's from Staten Island NY but guess he has ties to Pitt. It's close enough 40 minute flight or 8 hour drive. It's the North Eastern ring of location all the same.
Frack him. Let him break his back digging the Puck for Gino in an exhibition game for all I care now over the snub.
JB can try to go for these college free agents now. If BB signs they got 2 more contracts they can hand out to one of them for this season.

Caggiula has played 47 games in the NHL, he has looked a lot better than many of our players. Maybe that's not saying much, but it's not failing either. - neem55
Unfortunately it always isn't just about how many points they score. Kyle Connor outscored both CAgguila and Vesey at 3 years younger. Connor is in the AHL this season. |

There seems to be a need to overemphasize a point that hasn't been made. What's the overvalue on the prospects that you refer too?!? Enthusiasm that is not tempered please show me one posting that does that. Is this another paint job using me to prove a point to others?!?
As for Burr he netted a second round pick who as a prospect has progressed in his development since his draft. I won't add any potentials or suppositions. Though I don't understand falling out of favor. Is that conjecture for being expendable to trade? |

Report was that some of the Ottawa Scouts were mad that he was traded. He was improving in all facets of his game. Don't know how that means falling out of favour. |

Make no mistake, there was a lot of dark years in Edmonton, and i'm not just talking about lack of sunshine hours... |

I don't see how this makes Cagguila a fail in any way, shape or form.
I think most would agree that Connor is the better of the three, but it's a complete straw man to what we were talking about. |

It was a steal of a deal however you slice it the way he's playing in the SHL |

"I know we like to underestimate the value of Nuck players as the Burr and Hansen trades showed."
That above was the whole quote not the part your millennial seat cushioned mind tried to tarr and feather (google the meaning son if you don't know it).
Many postings lambasted Burr as having no value to best we could hope for was a low 3rd rounder. Same but slightly higher with Hansen. By the trades JB made it showed their values were underestimated. The usual knocking of the good Nuck players that goes on until they go to other teams and are valued or do so much better. - Nuck4U
Burrows value was low, signing a 2 yr extension is the value Ottawa was paying for. |

I never said Cagguila failed. Guys that go undrafted are just not as good as this time of the year suggests. That's why i'm really not sweating Van not winning the ZAR sweepstakes. I would say that Caggiula will probably be better then ZAR. |

It was taking advantage of a desperate team, like NJ did to Edmonton in the Hall deal. Anomalies happen all the time, the normal trend of a Burrows-type player was a mid to late round pick (i.e. Stafford or Stalberg), JB did good |

Benning found an absolute moron in Ottawa. I was bang on with his trade value. Most thought Hansen could get a late first or a second. We essentially got a late 1st and a 4th. Pretty damn close - CanuckDon

I'll take my sample of watching them the last many seasons over the 5-6 games they've played in their news respective teams. Why in the (frank) anyone would google the meaning of tar and feathered is beyond ridiculous. little early to determine, I think Ottawa fans might soon be wondering why they gave this guy a two year deal.
My quote and comment was referring to the many, many homer valuations such as yours. There were a lot fewer posters saying Burr isn't worth much and that Hansen was worth a second(which is what I was claiming). The vast majority of the chickens with their heads off around here were calling for a 1st for Hansen, two firsts for Tanev. I don't think anyone expected return like Dahlen, homers or not. I was just trying to say: talk about your own valuations, cause clearly you dont know what the (frank) youre talking about when referring to other posters on here. Or you have a very selective memory. - neem55
Like you do
Hansen got the equivalent of a 1st rounder plus. The plus is the draft pick and that Goldy was a developing prospect. Not a bust or failing prospect that can happen with a draft pick.
Burrows equivalent was a second rounder plus. Based on Dahlen development.
Those were above what you call homer estimates. Your hater, or grass is greener on the other side views, somehow devalued the above significantly. You were not the only one.
But okay. After the trades proved you were so wrong. Did those so called homers go attack you? I didn't go after you or others perosonally with an in your face rant or take that commentary. Something you have no problem doing. Making false assumptions and allegations.
Anyway what was the nerve or cord struck. That things are not as bad or as bleak as you want to make them out to be
That doesn't mean the opposite which you may reach for here. It's not rainbows or sunshine either. A lot of questions remain. A lot of wait and see. Many moves with hits and misses will occur. But there is a trend of change and a youth movement for a better core emerging. |

How does that make sense? The contract was Burr's demand to waive. Isn't that added value to already giving up Dhalen? |

If he was doing his job he would have traded Sharp at the deadline. Or addressed his sh!t Goaltending and D in the summer. Hamhuis was not the answer. Way to much talent to be behind the Nucks. He is a sh!t GM |
