He's definitely improved at both ends of the rink - it could be the change of scenery/team or individually, either way it's a plus. He's actually the second highest scoring defenseman in the league, it's the small victories. Interesting to see how he performs in Utica.

Absolutely. This will be a draft and develop coupe for JB if Green can keep him progressing. I don't get too excited by junior numbers especially the Q. But it's the range of progress in his game like you say. That's a good sign.

He's got real prospect potential now. Question marks for sure. They all have them. But that's how gems are found/made.

Something for underdog players we can keep watch over next couple of years. Who knows with rate of injury on Nucks D we might see him on a call up sooner then later.

We're talking about Carl Neill right? Cus his numbers this year are 13g52A and +19 which is a considerable improvement even tho he's 20, give him a year in Utica and see how he handles the jump
- Brooks_Light

Why isn't he playing on the Comets

Next season. He needed more development in junior after heart surgery.

He could have played the whole year for the Comets is what I was getting at.

I won't slag that above as an overreach cause we were talking underdogs to what they could maybe develop into as a goal hypothetical. Unlike the non participants who took the comparison too literally to swoop down on. Shame they didn't try it out.

But really would love your comparisons if they came true.

Always thought Nucks were owed discovering above from missing out on local boys.

I hear you. There will be more dispointments then success outcomes. Just looking at his development trend and hard luck story. One where he overcame a heart defect that had held him back. Adversity like that and overcoming it goes a long way.

So Neill will likely be playing with Brisbois in AHL next season. It's promising at this stage. We know the pitfalls and slow development of D.

Maybe they just felt he needed another year of junior with the heart surgery and all. Looks like it paid off. Still a long shot to be anything more than a top 2 AHL dman and injury call-up. But still.

I get your point - I read that it had to do with the heart surgery recovery and also apparently Green wanted to give Subban and Nilsson seniority and a chance before him. However, historically, the odds are against Q players ever making the NHL so he probably won't amount to anything. Anyways, someone asked "who are the underdogs" that I'm interested in/routing for to make the jump, those are the guys AND based on their development I think there's a chance for them. I also like that they're/were both captains, leadership can go a long way

I am hoping for him of course. I have been disappointed with prospects not making it and that is the only thing I am pointing out. Don't let the numbers fool you he is a 20 year old and in the QMJHL they put up a lot of points

No. You got something negative to say about LB
- Nuck4U

No not at all, but you said he had a great accurate shot and you can tell that from his 29 total shots and he was a hard hitter from his 18 total hits. I'm just saying there isn't a big enough sample to say the things about him you're saying.

Thats right overage Jr's r expected to put up numbers. The Q is not the league that the OHL & WHL is either talent wise. They have good players just not as many each draft.

He only played in the NHL? Is there a point to your microscope? Google some tribute footage of LB. Try to prove otherwise.

Besides we were looking at potential comparisons on underdogs. Using sentiment of loss of LB and Q player Neill's underdog story of overcoming heart defect.

Satisfied

Why don't you do the exercise from manvanfan....hmmm?!?
