Yes he would be an asset to play a role in coaching or advisory in shaping a successful team. He brings credibility on achievements and overcoming adversity.
Would be nice to see him score a big playoff goal with Sens. Maybe give a tribute to LB with arrow shot.

Not really directed at you, but why do we assume these guys would be good coaches? And why do we want to keep cycling through former Canucks.
We have:
Trevor as President,
Stan Smyl as Director of player development (also was assistant coach, minor league team coach, etc),
Jim Benning as GM,
Cloutier as goalie coach,
Ryan Johnson as director of player development,
Scott Walker as player development consultant
Doug Lidster as Assistant Coach
Malholtra as development coach
Baumgartner and Jason King as assistant coaches in Utica
Snepts, Delorme, Gradin are scouts (I am sure there are more in that position)
The franchise hasn't been the epitome of success, and I know the playing and coaching/mgmt are unrelated, it just comes across as hokey to me
