What no one has mentioned yet is the goaltending.
It would also be nice to give Marky a few games in a row and even Bachman 1 or 2 more.

Bachman will never be an NHL tender. No point |

Did some digging, sounds like he was sick. I was just curious what kind of power he has. Some big guys are all show with the wind up, guess we will have to wait until next year to see what kind of numbers he can put up |

Agreed, if Utica wasnt in such a tight race I would want to see Demko for a game but thats another situation where there is no point.
Markstrom when healthy should get 10 games to see what he can do |

The best part of Bachman being up with the Canucks is Gartieg getting to play in a league that he can develop in and Demko has had the chance to flourish in his starters role.
I have no problem with Bachman as a backup if it means Gartieg and Demko can continue to develop in Utica. |

In the games I've watched, his shots appear to have a lot of power by the sound of the boards or the stitches in Bo's head |

It was more about Markstrom....
But even so, re Bachman, the point is to see how he plays in the NHL, so you know what you have for the occasional back up role...ain't nobody saying he's going to be a regular anytime soon.
The same argument could be made about the vast majority of call-ups (that they won't make it to the bigs), but since the season is officially over, let the long shots have their shot. |

Good for the kids, but Willie will.still get criticism because if he plays Boucher for 12 minutes and Goldobin for 13 then we complain they should be getting 16 or 20 minutes plus all PP time. This fan base never stops. |

Marky should get games. Didn't have him in the youth category. But he's still injured and not practicing. So hard to know when ready to play lots. |

Suggesting Bachman should get some time is...stupid. He is a 5'10 career AHL goalie. Focus on Markstrom. They aren't shutting Miller down for the season |

You are comfortable going with Markstrom and Bachman next season?
Edit. nevermind, I assume you mean for the next week while Markstrom is out. |

Miller is the tricky part of the goalie puzzle. The guy is playing really well in a contract year, he will want to keep getting in there to showcase himself and I dont think it would look good on the organization to keep him on the bench |

He does have power but lacks accuracy and quick release. Why you see him using wrister mostly. That's hard too. Too bad he was sick during skills competition.
But like you I mentioned in opening page post to play the heck out of Tree in all situations. Maybe Stecher feeding him for a slapper. Have Sedins as net front they are good at jumping out of the way |

Why? His stats speak for themselves. He's not coming back unless it's for half of what he's getting. |

I would prefer Markstrom Bachman over Miller Markstrom next year but yes I was talking about the next week or so.
Nothing against Miller, he has really shown up this year but I think they need to move on to a vet backup ala Halak/Johnson etc and get Markstrom more starts next year. |

He's already done that hasn't he? Majority of body of work for season. All the play of late. By the time Marky is back to playing, giving Miller one or two more games more for what's left should be fine. |

100% he has to get at least 50% of the starts. |

He is your clear cut number one goalie. I think it would reflect poorly on the team to park him on the bench every game. They are still trying to sign the guy |

Bachman has no business being on an NHL team full time. Ludicrous. They should have a vet with Markstrom. |

Isn't that we all said before this season started?
If Miller is here, he will be getting 70% of the starts unless injured. |
