That's fine and can happen. It's the easy call. But it all depends on where he is at developing and what Canucks need. He should be playing AHL next season but because of junior rule can't.
Junior given all he's done won't develop his game much if at all. He might take on bad habits against inferior players. Those are the negatives against. Plus playing so much less time in gym for him to put on weight. The biggest knock he has now for pros is strength and weight. Lots of time with Nuck training staff might counter that. - Nuck4U
Given all he has done? let him dominate Junior before stating that he doesn't belong in that league. He is arguably the 3rd best D on his team let alone the league. I have he will be a good player but he certainly isn't "too good" to be playing on one of the best developing teams in the OHL. |

I would trade Tanev for forward help.
Edler Stetcher
Hutton Tryamkin
OJ Gudbrandson
Not that guddy is bottom pairing, but Edler and stech have chemistry as do Hutton Tryamkin - Retinalz
guddy is bottom pairing he sucks.. i think we need help on D moving forward all we need is one center which we will probably get this year and for a few of our wingers to turn out.
edler has to go this off season |

So he sits 30 games as a Canuck and when he does play gets 12 minutes or plays 80 games as a London Knight 20 minutes a night . What would be better for him - VANTEL
He did that Knight plan this season. They didn't keep him up. So now they have to evaluate again. I explained options and benefits or negatives in other reply above. It's not my call. I don't know where he's going to be at by camp. But playing more minutes in junior games in itself might not be an uptick in benefit alone. My take is options might be better if he's ready for it. |

Honestly I would ask Edler to waive,
I would keep Tryamkin Sbisa Tanev Hutton Gudbranson Stecher Biega and pick up a UFA like Alzner for a few years and draft a high profiled Dman and let OJ develop |

3rd best on team? Don't see him deployed like that. Anyway, he's not a dominating style player. He works better with players that can handle his passing and set ups. Development is a funny thing. Some guys pick up more being top dog others get better being part of the next level. I know the traditional argument is it can't hurt let him get more time. My only suggestion is some guys are in between. He should play AHL. But can't. So does hybrid option on Nucks work better for him? |

With respect man, thats a bad D-core. Without Tanev, I'm no longer sure we stack up all that well against the Oilers blueline.
Stetcher ain't first pairing, that 2nd pair would get mutilated and Guddy will singlehandedly bust O.J.

Alzner probably wouldn't come to Van ....I suspect he is either a cap, oiler, or flame next year |

Ease into games. It's not a rush if seen as a development step.
Following season it's AHL or big club just like JV. No worries he's young. That's the option for keeping up. If sent down which is fine then no option. It's a wait a year. - Nuck4U
That will not happen under Hunter, I trust Dale with everything about OJ. |

Okay. Fair enough on that point on Hunter
Guess it depends what Canucks want to accelerate or work on and where OJ and they are at. |
