Finding the right person/philosophy/strategist/competitor is far more important than whether or not they've had their NHL opportunity yet. Not sure how someone who tried & failed in the NHL is more attractive than someone who's never had the opportunity. Like everything else, it's about management's ability to identify the right candidates regardless of resume.

Not much point in bringing Ruff here to miss the PO's for 4 seasons.

Developmental-wise Green could do a good enough job with the kids to get to a point where we could look at a guy like Ruff.
