Fortunately I have never heard this song before - chilliard77
It's from Eurotrip. It's funny in the context of the movie. You were probably like 4 when the movie came out, so it's not surprising you've never seen it. It was a movie that tried to capitalize on the American Pie/Road Trip thing, and it was one of the lesser known ones, but still funny in parts.
But you did post a Buckcherry song, so... They were like the American Nickelback. |

Buckcherry are terrible and Eurotrip is funny, can confirm.
The Fred Armisen cameo alone makes Eurotrip worth watching but it's a surprisingly funny movie. |

Hockey related: T.J. Oshie and Brent Burns might be the first 2 non-goalies to peak and hit their prime at age 30.
Traditionally, we know that goalies tend to enter their prime around 27-30 and it usually lasts until about 33-ish.
Skaters it's more like 25-30 and then a sharp decline.
But I'm surprised. Oshie gonna hit 30 goals for the first time at 30 and Brent Burns is a beast, 27 goals for two seasons in a row now as a defenseman. Nuts. |

TJ Oshie is just having a career year. He's shooting 22.4% this year. His career % is 13.

I might be with you on this one but he had a great year last year, too. Trending up. We'll see how next season goes for him. His previous career high in goals was 21. Also, his only 20-goal season.
26 last year and 29 this year in 58 games. I'd say that's a player peaking/hitting his prime. |

He is, no doubt, but the fact that he's doing it at 30 is what's newsworthy. A lot of 27 year olds have career years and it's not big deal, but we have the numbers, players hit their peak at 24-26 and the good ones maintain that for a while, and the average ones decline after that, and quite sharply at 30. Look at Moulson. He was a good player that benefitted by playing with a great one, now that he's on the other side of 30 his numbers are not good. |

He also went from the Blues(defensive team) to the Caps(not) last year, PP time with Ovie is going to bump your numbers. |

True but I'm not so sure that the Capitals are anything but a defensive team under Barry Trotz. But the Powerplay time has certainly helped him. Regardless, he should be declining at this juncture, not peaking. |

Looking at player point totals for the year, I am not sure what to think about the fact that we might see 1 or 0 players hit 90 points for the season. |

It really speaks to how the style of the game has, in my mind, devolved from a fast, open up and down game into a game of clutching, holding, interference packed game that has considerably neutralized the highly skilled players in the league.
The NHL got it right in 2005 and 2006 seasons..then the old guard owners quickly turned the game into what we have today...which can be a snooze-fest on many nights.
I wish the league would do 2 things:
1- go back to calling the infractions as they happen to set-free the highly skilled players than fans come to enjoy watching
2- make the ice surface closer to Olympic size. Take out a row of seats around the rink. This will never happen due to the revenue implications...but one can hope. |

Good article in the BN about the implications on the players if Bylsma is fired...the focus then turns squarely on them...as their excuses for underperforming goes away in large part.
Of course, the D still needs a major upgrade, no argument there. That then becomes GMTM's focal than cannot be another miss. That is where his performance needs to be evaluated for the next season. No excuses, get it done.
While I think Bylsma system sucks and he does need to go, as I believe his system stifles the offensive creativity of skilled players and apparently is too complex for players to pick up and play the game intuitively...is can't be acceptable that a number of players after 2 years are still trying to figure it out. As they say, often Keep It Simple Stupid (Kiss) principle is often the best approach.
I do however like and respect the fact that he is holding Jack accountable for developing a defensively responsible game. Time and space is of prime consideration and helps optimize the puck possession stats that drive success. If he is the stud on the team and be paid like a top end player, then he needs to show it on both ends consistently. I have no problems with that aspect.

Sorry to go back a couple pages, but, If the opportunity arises take the time to see Brit Floyd when they come to the area. The band truly does Pink Floyd better than any other tribute band out there. I have seen them twice...amazing. They are coming to Rochester in April and to Artpark in Lewiston in July. |
