Projected by WHO? Canucks were too soft for the playoffs. They always had a good regular season team but were not built for the playoffs.
I didn't epect them to beat the Kings or Flames. Playoffs are for men not for teams that turn their cheek and take the abuse - VANTEL
you hate everything leafs and Sedin twins. Could you imagine the level of your hate if Burke had convinced the twins to sign with TO!

Oddly enough, the year before they played game 7 for the cup. To say they were too soft to win in the playoffs is silly. They weren't deep enough in the middle. - golfingsince
Silly but correct
A lot of problems were eposed during that Boston series.
Marchand speed bagging Daniel . Ehrhoff skating away like a scared girl instad of coming to his captains rescue. |

I don't think there's a JT in this draft. Maybe a ROR ? - golfingsince
I guess in four or five years we'll know. But you're right in that not one guy really stands out, unless you're a big Patrick guy. |

Watching Nico at world juniors showed me he is a competitor. When the game was on the line he was the one you noticed the most. He elevated his game. That's the player I want. Patrick is slow and I've ever been a fan of right handed centres. - Scooby_Doo
He created space and in that tourney. He did have an amazing tournament. I think his 2 way game is really nice also. That doesn't get as much attention because of his offensive skill. Future Selke candidate maybe? |

I wish he did sign them . We would have began a rebuild ten years ago |

It's probably correct in part, but the bottom line is they just weren't as talented and their goaltending wasn't anywhere as good through the seven games. Lu was great for four games and bad for two or three. Their goaltender didn't have one bad game. |

Their talent was just too thin, relied way too much on four guys to score. You shut those guys down in the playoffs and there was no one to fill the gap. - LeftCoaster
A direct byproduct of poor drafting & trading too many picks away at the TDL |

We played the finals without our best defender and our 3C, fell one game short. I agree with Lefty, we couldn't score because they only had to shut down 1 line. |

Because their best players are all under the age of 26. Ours are still old. - LeftCoaster
That is because people here still think the Sedins are the best players here. You can't have change unless you do change things. |

I agree it came down Thomas out playing Lui overall.

The Canucks used to have one of the highest scoring defensive cores in the league, during that time, which help the special teams and somewhat filled the scoring gap from the middle six.
Now it's a complete void. |

I don't think they r & why they should be split up.
Too slow as a pair on one line & on the PP all they do is kill it. |

Thanks to Edlers sticks. They haven't worked right since then. |

I know it's changing but the underlying numbers still suggest they are our best players. Other than Horvat no one has stepped up and taken their ice away from them yet.
So....I respectfully disagree. Other than Horvat there isn't a center in the organization better than Henrik at this time. It's an issue. |

Kesler was always pissed they didn't get him help on that second line, and I don't blame him. It was always an issue that we discussed at length here. |

See this is nice, I respect all of you guys and we can have a nice civil conversation, whether we agree or not, about the team. |

Hischier could win every award except the rocket and Norris. I don't know why, I just have a feeling he's the guy we are getting. |
