I agree it came down Thomas out playing Lui overall. - Nighthawk
Lots of factors:
PP dried up.
Lou with the 3 game choke.
AV's refusal to start Schneider in gm 6.
Rule changes in SCF after the Rome hit.
Lapierre and Torres shut down after gm 2 by AV.
No pushback to Marchand.
Hamhuis out did not help.
Lots of other things going on than Just Lou vs Thomas.
Bottom line is that Bruins club had no business being on the ice with that dominant Canuck team from 2011 and we should have found a way to win with the depth we had. Both teams were injured by then so I don't pull that card. |

The more I watch this kid the more he intrigues me. Full set of highend puck skills! - LeftCoaster
He has me feeling a bit better about this draft if we don't do well at the lottery again. |

Probably the most legit post of this tread. - thundachunk
It's been hard to watch the team living 4 time zones away. I'm hoping next season's infusion of youth makes it easier. However, I don't want them to be gifted spots, I want them to earn them. I'd rather they sign has beens to 1 year deals if they're more deserving of a spot. |

Kesler was always pissed they didn't get him help on that second line, and I don't blame him. It was always an issue that we discussed at length here. - LeftCoaster
At one time I agreed with that but over a period it was obvious it was Kesler that was the actual issue. Never passed the puck or made plays or used his line mates properly…and I agreed when AV called him out on it. Kesler had plenty of talent to work with when he was here. |

I think the team as a whole played much differently once Manny was injured, going back to the regular season. They attacked much less than before the injury, partially because Kesler had to take on so many more defensive responsibilities. Having Kesler hurt in the Nashville series also didn't help.
The team was still good without Manny, but when they had him in the lineup they were dominant.

There is no gamechanger this year but would you be happy if Canucks drafted another player similar to Bo?
This year is not the time to try and hit the home run but maybe hit that solid double.

Bang on!! - A_SteamingLombardi
The one thing about the Bruins is they were the best 5 vs 5 team all season. We had the best PK and PP if I remember correctly. |

I disagree, he didn't have a player of the Demitra or Alex Tanguay ilk to feed him the puck during 2011. That's what he needed because he was a shooter.
Mason Raymond was not the answer for him. |

I'd be happy with another Bo. I'd still like to see a homerun C prospect in a later draft but then we'd be set down the middle for a decade. |

Baseball is awesome, just to get that out of the way, secondly, yes absolutely that'd be ideal if they can get another Horvat type center. |

If its not Nolan Patrick do you take a Defence man this draft. I had 4 in my top ten. This draft is looking fairly solid through the 1st round. - thundachunk
I have only 1 D in my top 10. I have 4 centers, I wouldn't mind. After pick 15 there isn't a whole lot of players that I believe in. |

Why do you have to be a mini NuckFU and go against the grain? Just having a leisurely conversation on a Sunday morning about the team. |

IMO you've just gotta GOTTA have a 1/2 punch down the middle to be any type of competitive. So important!! |
