My sole reason for not listing Tippett or any wing for that matter is we r loaded up on the wings & need top C's & a stud D. Tippett & Tolvanen both r good but we need to deal to make room for another winger. Maybe it bappens idk. - Nighthawk
Speaking of dealing, Tippett was playing with Ryan McLeod (Michaels younger brother) who's only 16, impressive kid, 32 assists this year, he's was flying through the zone and creating space to dish to his wingers. If he's anything like Michael, Nucks should keep their eyes on him. |

Also I haven't written JV off yet. I think he will come to camp ready this year. He could also earn a spot. So much depends(Vantel) on how these picks a young players come to camp fighting for a spot. I am actually more excited about this training camp than I have been in many years. - thundachunk
Neither have I for JV but just where he sits currently & can move up easy enough on his own merit. |

I went to see Owen tippet and Nic Hague play today. Tippett is a legit beast, carried the entire game. He's physical, drives the play up ice, but makes smart passes through the neutral zone, got a fierce shot, and is shot first once inside the ozone. He also played in every situation. I know he's a winger but man I think he's a great consolation prize if all the good centres are gone. I also think he's one of the closest to being NHL ready, he reminds me of Kesler. - Brooks_Light
Sounds like Evander Kane. |

Yeah if he could keep his head on straight, he isn't a bad player to have. |

The more tape and things I read about Nico H the more I am enamoured by this kid. Seems legit to me. I wish I was able to see more east coat players live. Being Limited to the W sure is well....limiting. |

Are you watching highlight reels or actual game tape... Big difference. |

Game tape. He really makes himself a ton of space. I hope it can translate to the NHL. So valuable at the highest level. |

Yes there is more youth in the system now. It could be a good showing for the forwards. But if vets aren't moved how many spots will there be open? Do you play any of the high skilled youth in bottom six roles?
By my count from this group and what's coming you got 12 guys vying for 5 spots there. Not counting any more free agent (college etc.) pick ups by JB and Megna. Only 4 waiver exempt. But depth for Comets will be enhanced.

I think the Sedins are very tradeable if salary is retained. The problem is I don't think they want to go anywhere.
Play those guys 12-15 minutes a night with shorter shifts and i'm pretty sure their production/TOI would rise substantially. Unfortunately, on this team they're still top targets for the other team's D deployment. Put them on a team as secondary scoring and they'll produce. |

Split them up and their production would rise. They are both great passers still. But the league knows how to stop that. Cover 1 of them and you stop the cycle. |

The thing about those two is smart players benefit more from playing with them than any other particular skill set. |
