We cannot retain salary on any more players next year. - Nighthawk
I thought we have one more retaining option open with Hansen move. |

Our GM is fine. They aren't leaving. Period - CanuckDon
Piss poor asset management. They should've been gone a few years ago & any opportunity to trade them since. The Canucks and most of the fanbase are more concerned with being sentimental than maintaining a competitive roster churn. |

He destroyed a guy last game as well. Dude was bleeding all over the place. I want to keep Pedan - CanuckDon
Pedans having a down year from the previous, but with a new coach I wouldnt be suprised if Pedan has a roster spot. |

... yeah, didn't think so. I have yet to see you back up an opinion with any decent argument. Just disagree & add an emoji. |

14 mil off the books when he is UfA - VANTEL
Oilers may have issues with McDavid at that time if they can't offload RNH and/or Eberle . Offer Sheet the sh!t out of him. 11x7 |

Look at the standings bud.
Imagine where the rebuild would be if they were swapped out for prospects when they should've been. Instead we'll lose them for nothing. |

Did you do any research on the Oilers cap for 2018-19 before making this idiotic statement? |

Do you not know what a winky face means?
EDIT: But they do have a lot of money still on the books for 18-19 season. Will be adding Draisatl to that list, and Nurse will need a raise, Benning will need a raise. Eberle's contract ends the year after McDavid get his pay raise. 40 mil dedicated to 8 players. Probably 6-7 for Draisatl so thats 46-47. assume that the cap is 77 mil, they have 30 mil to sign McDavid, Nurse, Benning and 11 other players. it can be done, but would be extremely tight. McDavid will easily get 10+ mil from oilers. possible more as he is already showing to be the most dominant scorer in the league right now. and he will only get better. |

Do you actually think that Van would be somewhere else in the standing without the Sedins?
Up until last year they were 70 point players a year. Who trades 70 a year point players?
So Van trades them last season. We got 2 prospects or 2 picks for them. Neither of those picks would be on this team. 2 prospects, well we have seen what WD likes to do with prospects. Would still be in the same place in the standings.
Van could trade them this year, we wouldn't still be picking in the same spot in the standings with or without them. Don't argue otherwise because it's true. |

Kind of the (frank)ing point... We could be bottom feeders with the Sedins (which we are), or we could be bottom feeders with the elite prospects we got for the Sedins in the system. How is the first option more attractive?!? That's how you have prolonged dark ages as a franchise.

I think the Sedins deserve better than to be forced out of town. Let them retire Canucks at the end of the year. They would never be traded separately so the only way they could be traded would be at next years TDL if we offer to cover 50 % of the cap hit for one of them. Any GM that traded them a couple years ago...well Aquilini would have fired them. And of course, this is ignoring their full NMC. Edler is the veteran that managment should be aggressively pressing to waive. |

So as I thought, your position is about sentimentality, not business...
But I agree on Edler. |

I would look at bringing Bachman back for a year or two. He is reliable ,cheap and it is a transition year. Paying Markstrom 3.6 mil for 10 starts is nuts. - VANTEL
word was Markstrom>Talbot AINEC this time last year, hrmmmm |

Benning owes it to the Fans to ask them to waive at next years TDL(unless we somehow have a great year). If they say no, so be it. But he has to at least ask. Forcing them out is a bad idea. |
