This is where i suggest something absolutely ridiculous like trading talent up front for talent on the blueline and then 10 pages of comments on how im slighting that player because i had the audacity to suggest exploring trade ideas involving bringing back a stud d-man might be a good idea. - Sabresfan-365

Ive suggested a Reinhart for Hanifin swap multiple times, neither player has to be protected ad the expansion draft. |

In the mid80s some of my buds and I would lose entire weekends to cases of Weidemann's beer, 1/2 oz of dirty weed, and hotly contested games of RISK.
I was always trying to find a reliable alternative to "the Australian Strategy." - Der Kaiser
I tried austrailia and or south america
then hope you have enough to hold off europe as I would move my fronts into africa, north america and asia
very under rated game |

I'd rather have Slavin. I know at least one other agrees. |

Based on the stud D man coming back almost assuredly being either someone with one year left on their deal or someone who is still young and a bit of an unknown, it's why Kane, Nylander, and the 2017 1st should be on the table if that is what it takes (not for one deal, of course). |

This is where I say "Literally nobody has ever said this. Jesus Christ."
So we can both go really META, or - as I would be far prefer - we can both just move on.

Draisaitl was the only other one considered as worthy of #2 overall.
That being said, had Murray went "against the grain" and did pick Pastrnak #2 overall, he might be labeled as a genius right now. - buffalofan19
Draisaitl was NEVER in the picture for the #2 pick ................. I repeat ... NEVER. |

id rather have slavin too, but am with thatguy's thinking of Hanifin because Slavin has taken a bigger role for the canes. Far less likely to move him at least compared to hanifin anyways. |

I heard it was down to the 2 sam's and it didn't take much time to figure out who they wanted with pick 2
and there was no discussion on trading up to pick 1 for ekblad |

IMO this offseason, we see a Kane for Brodin type of deal.
Add the Russian D man, and Guhle. |

probably. so does guhle, but you would hedge your bets on either of them being the solution to the top 4 immediately no? |

I could see this.
Kane for a D-man.
Bogosian and a 2 and a 5 to LV for a 4/5 with agreement they take Ennis.
Moulson (1MM retained for a pick)
Trade a 2 and a 4/5 for a winger left unprotected
Add Brodin style D-man
Add Russian Guy
Winger from trade
Guhle possible
Ausin/Falk/Fedun for the 5-7 D-men spots

given what homie's mentioned about kane's value i dont think that kind of deal will be possible. Sounds like even at his best teams were only interested in trading for him at a cut rate. |

Pittsburgh games have been for a LONG time. They "owned" Miller, yet the genius that is Lindy Ruff would always play him
