No guarantees about any of that in the first place, so why torture yourself?

I'd rather try and see some sort of growth out of the young guys over this final stretch than "Hope" we get a better pick and that that pick works out or becomes a major bargaining chip for a trade.

I don't think a few more wins are going to materially alter the value of that pick, especially given that you yourself acknowledge it only works as part of an overall package.
