Got electric turned on in my name for the first time and I'm instantly that 40-something year old guy that's super stingy with any source of power

his take was that the fact that there are questions around risto are the problem surrounding risto and by extension the sabres.

He brought up three categories, talent reputation and numbers. Most top pairing guys, there are no question marks in those categories. The fact that we know ristolainen fits the first two categories but cant figure out why the numbers category hasnt gotten better than "getting shelled in that third of the ice" presents the biggest problem.

Essentially either the management team isnt capable of figuring it out or risto isnt capable of figuring it out and you probably need to sort that out sooner or later. Comparison to Morgan Rielly is pretty bang on.

That fool writer from Rochester who blogs about tonight's opponents wrote about Ristolainen today and posted his "heat map" and I posed the question there, but will here too for other feedback.

He points out the With/Without Ristolainen shot heat maps drastic differences, and I asked why all of the red close to the blue line and boards are a d-man's fault.

I know a game of hockey is flowing, but for the most part I'd expect the d-men to be deep near the goal line rather than out pressuring high and wide and thus "responsible" for the number of shots coming while on the ice.
