It's not upsetting me? I just said it would of been a great trade 1 for 1... I just realized it was Gudbranson who fetched our 2nd last year and not Bonino....
I do prefer Sutter over Bonino but that doesn't mean he is better or should of held more value considering contracts and the cap trouble Pit was in. - belcherbd
Perhaps...Benning goes after the guys he wants. Usually the trades workout well. I'd hate to see a trade not happen because of something minor like a 10 pick swap in the draft. Sutter is a better fit for us than Bonino. A large part is because he is fast and better defensively. We have a very slow team and Bonino was a huge culprit. |

Actually it's Granlund the most with Megna/Eriksson pretty much tied for 2nd. Plus the Sedins on PP1
Not a fan of RNH at his cap hit though |

Sutter most common linemates are Eriksson and Granlund followed by Sedins.....

I see you view playing with the Sedins as a positive
He did fine with Granlund |

With the make up of the forwards we have we do need a center that's better at moving the puck. Especially on our second line.

fair point but PP1 time even on a poop unit will still lead to extra points |

Long-term...this team really lacks a good playmaking centre. |

Do you mean the PP unit that was 1 of 32 ?
The PP has stunk for years. It is a 2 man game and occasionally someone else gets to touch the puck |

I think this year or next Canuks will get an equal or better than Bo . I also think with the cap space we can pick up a decent center when Hank goes |

Even crappy units score goals though. Otherwise Sutter wouldn't have any PP points... |

I'd rather not sigh another late 20's/early 30's UFA to an expensive multi-year contract.
I'm fine with signing 1 year stop gaps a d flipping them at the TDL, ive been on that train since the day Benning was hired but they haven't done it yet |

A whole 7 ?
Daniel and Hank have 12 each . Why does the two line mates both have almost double? |

Why do you bother haters are going to hate. Of course people pile on when he is injured and has stopped producing. He should never have been on the power play in the first place as Sutter generates his offense off the rush at 5 v 5. Not that our joke of a power play would inflate anyones stats. We should start declining power plays if Willie insists on using the Sedin's for 90 second per PP. |

Dale Weise came close to those numbers once on the Habs who had 221 goals . Right now our entire team has 60 goals less than that total |

It literally did inflate his stats, I agree that the Sedins should be the 2nd unit and that Sutter isn't a PP player.
Also, if I was just in it for hate, I wouldn't go from hating the Granlund deal to giving Benning props for it. |

My issue is that these guys signed long-term like Sutter/Eriksson aren't providing enough offense for their cap hits/ice time, these guys should be making their line area better, not relying on them to carry the line.
We all agree that the Sedins are in that category but theyre only signed for 1 more year so that's not a long term issue. |
