Which FA's are you bringing back?
Obviously Horvat, Tryamkin and Gudbranson.
For me I qualify Gaunce, Labate, McEnemy, Boucher, Gartieg, Chaput.
Rodin, Cramrossa, Skille, Megna, Shore, Larsen, Pedan, Zalewski, Grenier, Billins, Rendulic, Nillson can all jog on, I want to reset our depth. - belcherbd
Yes on that. But JB will offer Rodin another chance because of investment on injury and lost year. Cram a maybe if they don't have a better option or DD is questionable to play tough. Shore only if they lose Guance to Vegas might get a year from JB. |

I agree with everyone but I would sign Grenier as he is sadly the comets best player. I'd also sign Rendulic because he is trending up while the rest of those plugs are trending down. |

I wouldn't be upset if they give Rodin another shot, I'm mostly just indifferent. I hope Dorsett makes it back but if he can't I think there are other more established guys who they could bring in like Hendricks, Winnick, White, martinsen, Andreoff..etc. |

What`s your thoughts on Bennett?
I haven't watched enough games to get a read on him. - belcherbd
I don't mind how he's playing but I think his confidence is shot ...he isn't on the pp and with the way backlund and monahan are playing he isn't getting top 6 linemates or minutes ....but I wouldn't give up on him ... many want him as a winger with janko (yes this is going to be a thing ) playing 3C next year
I worry he might end up traded and the flames will regret it |

Sign them to AHL contracts no reason to waste a Canuck contract on AHL players. |

He's my dark horse playoff performer for the flames but like I said I haven't followed you guys much lately.

I see it now on Bennett. Canucks have this high end potential prospect named Subban. Perfect for your one and done playoff crapper that needed more offense. Third times a charm in making that deal |

I know it's so perfect. But of course JB throws in the CBJ 2nd too for Bennett this time as an extra.
You know cause of the magic that had for the Pens on getting rid of Sutter for the Cup run.

Megna simply replaced Linden Vey as Willie's love interest. What he sees in either of those two players is bewildering.
His rationale for line configuration and player deployment is bizarre, but of even more concern is the systems and strategies he's implemented.
I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to play for him. Even when they have possession in the other team's zone they don't actually have the puck in a position where they'd have any chance to score. They're constantly rimming the puck or dumping it back into soft areas for a retrieval. Then back to the point and another dump in behind the net. They're content to chase around the perimeter and are never threatening.
Then you watch how useless their forecheck is and how easily the opposition exits from their zone once they regain possession and, by comparison, how difficult it is for the Canucks to get out of their own zone. That's not just young D and ineffective wingers not executing, that's the lack of a successful plan.
Then there's:
- Failure to even recognize that PP1 has not been working for years let alone make any fundamental changes to the configuration. How you don't address the soul-crushing loss of momentum they always get from their complete failure of a powerplay, is like, WTF?
- The deterioration of the PK this season when they still had seasoned veterans who were noted for that role.
It's not all due to a lack of talent when, no matter who you're playing against, the other coach's strategy is getting them 35+ shots and you're lucky to hit 24.
If the rumours are true that some other teams would be interested in him if he's being let go, let him out of his contract at the end of the year and he can go become someone else's problem. At least the Canucks would be able to beat that team next year. - YeOldTimer
same thing Ive been saying for 2 years now....agree completely. Worst coach Ive ever seen. Seems like he's used to coaching children, where the fat clutzy kid gets to play as much as the stars. He should go back to that and let us return to be an NHL club |

- belcherbd
I do think megna has some value here probably as a versatile player replacing burrows. If theres better then let him go. But I did think there were games he showed promise. I wont miss him if he goes thats for sure
Shore we have barely seen. Remember last year when most posters wanted granlund gone badly?
Rodin has good talent, great player. All depends on the knee
Pedan I like....I want him here. |

Eriksson has been disappointing but it will turn around. It was a bad contract and move because of where this team is at not necessarily because of what he's accomplished as a player.
UFA's are always overpriced and it's the price you have to pay to get them but only a moron would of expected Eriksson to be a perennial 30 G 65 pt player. - belcherbd
the team still has to meet the salary cap floor and put a half decent product on the ice... for that you need actual legit NHL players...
LE is a legit player... not sure why everyone seems to be getting down on the guy. get him complimentary players and he'll be fine.... someone who can get him the puck... |

I think this draft Canucks should get at least one very good forward and a very good Dman . We should have three picks in the top 60 |
