I liked the swap of Sutter for Bonino even if the extra pick was a bit strange.
The extension was again unnecessary but not a big deal as Sutter brings more of what this teams needs than Bonino does.

That said can we stop calling Sutter a 3rd line center. He is the most used player not called Sedin for the 2nd season in a row.

He is a first line player as far as ice time goes and producing like a 3rd line player.

In 2007 Morrison had 9 goals and was no longer top line same year as Kesler taking over second line duties, The year before Kesler had 6 goals . 2008 Burrows got moved to Sedins line

Actually in 2006/07 Morrison had 20 goals 51 points, the following year 2007/08 he only played 39 games because he was injured, scored 9 goals, that's when Kesler and Linden both moved up to fill the gap.

Kesler took advantage and scored 20 goals.

Santorelli scored 10 in 49. 15 goal pace.
Hodgson had 16 in 2011 as 3C
Wellwood had 14 in 75 games in 2010 and 18 in 2009.

No I like Sutter fine as a 3C, especially for a team trying to stay competitive. I think he was an upgrade on Bonino for what we needed, which was speed and FO's.

He is Canucks best face off guy and best PK guy , that adds TOI. Just because he is on the PP doesn't mean he is getting the puck.

He is a veteran player that will add leadership and stability to this team as they transition out of the Sedin years.

I don't get the hate from Nucker and Lefty when he does everything the team asks and still puts up decent numbers.

It's funny that both Sutter and Staal were stuck behind two centres in Crosby and Malkin, yet that's the case whichever team they go to.

Won't matter who's coach. It's simple JB doesn't offer Megna a new contract. There will be more depth and competition on that in the offseason.
