I think Vilardi could be better then both the top 2 who are always mentioned.
I am just trying to use what people say in needing to draft a future center. Might be the perfect storm where Vegas needs a star to sell and build around and Simmonds is a guy I think that could work with. - J35Bacher
There's a good chance that Mittelstadt is taken before Vilardi. Either of those 2 should pan out to be very solid picks. |

I'd like to third this motion. I still generally like Hexy's approach, but I think he needs somebody to confirm his moves before taking on multi million dollar veteran forwards in trades. |

It does make sense - ravishingone
It does seem pre-ordained.
In June 2006, Hextall moved to the Los Angeles Kings to take on the role of Vice President and Assistant General Manager. In addition, Hextall served as the General Manager of the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL, the Kings' primary affiliate.
Jonathan Bernier drafted 11th overall, June 24th, 2006 by the Los Angeles Kings |

I think I remember....B$e$n$ B$i$h$o$p
In all honesty I think he's a definitely a possibility. And if Neuvirth gets taken its all systems go for Hexy
Hexy is going to baby these goalies along so a 4 year deal for Bishop is in the cards |

I think the current depth chart for call ups is something like:
Sanheim/Morin/Hagg - almost back from a leg injury
Brennan
O'Neill - out for weeks with a wrist injury
Alt
Willcox/Friedman
Lamarche
Pettersson - Feanor
I was just saying Hagg and O'Neill are both out which is why Lamarche was called up to the Phantoms from Reading |

I think he stays in LA after being a big part of their playoff run. |

I only want Bishop if term is short.
I think that is why they resigned Neuvirth. Not sure the Flyers want to have a lot of term and money in the goalie position with all the youth they have coming.

My guess is Bishop will want at least 5 years at 5mil plus AAV. No thanks.

Yup, I was just expanding on it a little.
Lamarche is an AHL/ECHL tweener. |

Sounds like the Flyers... chasing a big name goalie once he's no longer any good. |

You don't have to tank to get beat in Minnesota, Columbus, and Pittsburgh.

Fun time overall, sat one row up from the club seats - had one rowdy Flyers fan in front of us that took things a little too seriously.
Truthfully, it was about what I expected from the club - but watching live does give you a bit of a different angle.
Giroux just looks so slow out there, the explosive breakaway stride is not there. The team is quite small, average speed and truly needs more skill. They were pushed around all night.
Systems wise, I get the impression that Hak is trying to have them play (ironic) an LA kind of north/south heavy on the boards scheme. Problem is that this club doesnt have the muscle to pull it off.
Outside of Simmonds, Provorov and Konec - most looked very vanilla. |

I'd up the $$ to bring down the term. I'd offer 6.5 mil for 4 years |

I don't think the Flyers are going to go big term/Cap hit when they have so many goalies in the pipe.

Dont care what they pay him if he truly is the target, but dont want a lengthy term.
Bishop got beat out by a kid in Tampa, and has an injury history himself. Just seems like a very 'Flyers' kind of move.
Would still rather have kept Mason and give more games to Stolarz/Lyon. |

I wouldn't touch that deal with a ten foot pole and rubber gloves on. He would be close to 35 when the deal is up.

Its funny, I advocate for a tank.
Hell, Neuvirth as the #1 is tank city all day long. |

That seems unlikely. The Flyers and Pens couldn't even agree on a trade for Streit. |
