Well said.

Re: Giroux - unless he's got some degenerative thing going on I think he'll have a much better year next year.

- Scoob

If what he said is true and feeling healthy now then maybe with added depth we could be fine moving forward. But he does worry me as someone who isn't overly big or fast so anymore decline would be terrible.

Fun time overall, sat one row up from the club seats - had one rowdy Flyers fan in front of us that took things a little too seriously.

Truthfully, it was about what I expected from the club - but watching live does give you a bit of a different angle.

Giroux just looks so slow out there, the explosive breakaway stride is not there. The team is quite small, average speed and truly needs more skill. They were pushed around all night.

Systems wise, I get the impression that Hak is trying to have them play (ironic) an LA kind of north/south heavy on the boards scheme. Problem is that this club doesnt have the muscle to pull it off.

Outside of Simmonds, Provorov and Konec - most looked very vanilla.

Board battles and puck battles are a part of hockey regardless of the scheme a coach employs. They're as much part of the game as a slap shot or pass is.

That contract is beyond headscratching if vegas doesn't take him

I think they look back at last year.

Maybe he dusts off his stall a little better than Mason. Good soldier and all. The eyebrows too man.

Nobody seems to be giving Lyon much of a chance to beat out Stolarz next season for the backup.

Isn't Lyon the starter for the Phantoms now? Have no idea, generally only get my info on that team from Bill.

I think the eventual goalie for the flyers is actually Sandstrom or Hart. Just think they have more potential then either of the Phantoms guys but never know I guess.

It hurts me so bad to see Provorov and Ghost both anchored to Amac/Schultz. Total waste. Gotta haze the young guys though.

Then I come on here and gotta read how we want to sign Bishop.

Bill has said before that he thinks Sandstrom stays in Sweden for one more year. With that in mind, I think both Stolarz and Lyon are back with the Phantoms next season as both have had ups and downs and I doubt Hexy feels either one is ready to pair with a guy as injury prone as Neuvy.

My guess is that they sign a vet like Ryan Miller to a one year deal and he pairs with Neuvirth next season and in 18-19, one of Stolarz or Lyons comes up.

This is what I mean. For a winning team in the AHL, those are pedestrian numbers when it comes to GAA and SV%

Doesn't TJ Brennan play on the blueline for the Phantoms? He's not what one would call a 2 way defenseman.

MacDonald has had a solid season, and has played well overall, although he made a mistake last night leading to a goal. Gostisbehere needs to worry about his own play, rather than who his partner is. He was brutal last night.
