That's the exact same thought process that made you whiff on Tkachuk.

It doesn't bother me we didn't take Tkachuk.

Oilers and jackets picks arn't in the nhl yet either, does that mean they're busts?

I'm never a fan of drafting for need. Needs change & you don't want to pass up/miss out on a player you have ranked higher in order to fill a hole that might not need filling when the player's ready to contribute. Stockpile BPAs and manage assets when necessary.

Plus that elbow to doughty would have been a 10 game suspension if he was a nuck

Where we are likely picking, i'd still think BPA is a center which also files a need.
- Retinalz

I agree as well. Valardi, Mittlestadt or Glass I think is who we draft

I like Necas over Glass if he is available

I think

Patrick
Hischier
Vilardi
Necas
Mittlestadt

those are my top 5. I think we get at least 1. some teams will take a D and Tippet will prob be on other teams radar.

Yeah honestly out of those 5-6 it's a crap shoot. They all look good, tough to even say who comes out on top. I look at the younger D we have and then I see Horvat and........ We might not have that #1 stud D man yet but definitely have more going on..

I would honestly try and trade u p with our 2nd(likely cbj2nd, and possibly sjs 1st) to snag Foote.

OJ-Foote could be a solid pairing with their skill sets.

A screaming gremlin kept my hair raised throughout the night and day. My bleary eyes strain to comprehend the words that are written, tears sweat dripping with focus to place letter by Letter by weird verbs and nouns until now when I have calm perpetuate my place, serenity swells and dilated arteries divert flow to my mind. Clearly I find my words and can now speak. Whom will listen?

Friendly Flames fans frolicking frivolously in glee. Pointing fingers, at their own chests with bravado as they scorn us for our pick, picking his spot, waiting patiently as he develops his game, Oil and Jacket fans can say the same.

Thus Tchuck, this thick forwards who bangs his impact upon games is the new hero of red dressed mandingos laughing with success unsustained. So I say to them, wait three or five years, ask who's cheers turns to boos and who's jeers turn to chants.

ahhhh... the wood pile is strong tonight friends, goodnight.

They'll probably face Calgary, then Edmonton, the only team I can see beating them is Minnesota, they have a relentless attack with tons of speed/skill and a goalie that can easily get hot.
On the other side of the bracket, there's a possibility that the first round could be Montreal/Boston and Ottawa/Toronto, those would be 2 great series to watch.

I think it's really too close to tell right now ...the sharks could play the ducks, oilers, flames, blues, or preds ... lots to be determined yet

We made the right choice with OJ. Tkachuck is a bit too one-dimensional but a good player. It was a need we had to fill on D and it was the smarter choice.

SJ will be very lucky to make the SCF two years in a row most likely it's not going to happen. JB would be very smart not to plan around the 1st.

CHI or NASH could also beat SJ IMO.
