Myers was to soft for Murray, that's why he's gone.

Holy crap, just had a chance to see the Methot slash. How the hell is Crosby still breathing? And, all Pittsburgh morons still think it's okay that he does these things... that haters are gonna hate. The league really needs to do something about this guy or he will end up on a stretcher at some point.

Maybe that's why he has never played a full 82-game season.

pay attention here

1. Murray said he did not believe it would take a 5 year rebuild

2. this team is worse in year 3 than year 2

3. the worst 4 d men of the starting 6, is guys murray brought in

4. he got his guys, kane, bogo, okposo, ror, franson, lehner, kulikov, gorges, moulson, gionta and we are worse in year 3, and that's adding eichel and reinhart

5. the pipeline, rochester is a huge mess

6. the pegulas are sick of these sports team being FAR away from competitive

again don't shoot the messenger, it's murray's mess because he was handed a gm's wet dream when he came here and now it's very disoriented with no clear path for success or chemistry

I still believe the Bills won't get into the playoffs for another 5 years. Flutie curse in full effect for benching him the playoff game all those years ago.

As far as the Sabres are concerned, I think their just stupid. GMTM should've done a better job. That's about all.

The single worst thing and also best thing about advanced stats is that different people who study them have differing opinions on what area's are most important.

You get different opinions, which is awesome, but then brutal takes like saying he's worse than Kulikov

- sbroads24

Thing is, when you get right down to it, adv stats are no different than the analysts who go on tv talking about regular stats, with one catch. They believe that the opinions and analysis they give is more valid or impregnable because they read it off a sheet.

Steve Burtch's exact words were "the firmness with which they cling to this belief is amusing" (regarding ristolainen) and i nearly pissed myself laughing.

http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/gm-tim-murray-wants-higher-expectations-for-sabres-quick-rebuild/

“When you tear it down, it doesn’t happen overnight,” he said. “I don’t buy into five-year rebuilds. I think when you use terminology like that as a GM you’re really setting yourself up for a long run if your owner buys into that. I could sit here and say it’s a seven-year rebuild and hopefully I get 10 years out of it. But that’s not reality and not what I want anyway."

People are just holding him to his own standards

I dont understand why though? it cant just be his interviews or whatever?

This could be the sword that Murray dies on.

Agreed. Im not sure you can blame the petersen thing on anyone in particular even if you want to. As baker mentioned, he'll probably be the number one college UFA available, id think his representation would encourage him to explore all of his options. Or he may just not want to play here who knows.

At this point, all this talk about Pegula making Buffalo a premier spot for Free Agents.

He remodels the locker rooms, home and away (I would make the away team change in the (frank)ing boiler room, personally).

Builds the Harbor Center.

Brings in the World Juniors with a state of the art facility. Gets the draft held in Buffalo.

All these superficial and material things might land you a hot Asian wife, but let's be real. They are sugarcoating on a cake made of feces. Both the Sabres and the Bills have been a disaster since he bought them, dysfunctional to say the least.

If I'm a FA, I want to stay as far the (frank) away from Buffalo as possible at this point. So he's done exactly the opposite, making Buffalo even more undesirable. Players aren't jamokes and neither are their agents, especially.

I did, I was just getting to it. I doubt it was as bloody/graphic but if the overall plot seemed eerily similar, absolutely I would pursue some kind of settlement if I were the guy who made it... But that's just the thing. It wasn't his property and how is he going to sue Hollywood? James Van Der Beek got connections? Nah.

People that rich seem to care about the tax rate rising or dropping 1% even though it would be the equivalent to $20 out of their pocket. But yeah - I get your point.

I did too until Michael Bay put his greasy hands all over them.

Surprisingly, the Nickelodeon animated show (I think it's still running?) is actually very good.
