Kinda like Don said, if the Canucks are sitting 8th and their guy is available, probably wont risk losing out by trading down. Some might get nervous and move up?

A Lithuanian prospect

This draft deciding who has the motor & high high compete level is the hardest to judge. Add talent to the equation & thats who I like us to get. Don't know enough about most if the picks in our range but Nico Mittelstadt Necas to name a few seem to have it.

He studies up & doesn't really listen to too many pundits. He sees thru the forest without being inundated with too many opinions. To look at a prospects game & what makes a player stand out is not all about stats. Talent hunting is an inexact science but top scouts find qualities that others miss.

There a few picks like Glass that will be a good pick to someone. Not an overly high end game breaking pool of picks but Plenty of very good players r there.

I know it's fair to have give and take, but looking back the low level guys who do dumb crap get punished a lot more severely than the starts. Yes it's a business but it's also a sport where rules and equality should be upheld
