I think as a reward for the season he's had which by all accounts has been great. Just give the kid a taste so he has all summer to think about it. THere is nothing to lose at this juncture so why not?
- I can't bring myself to cheer for them to lose either but after watching what Laine / Matthews have done I find a part of me hoping it does continue lol - kevingram
He has had a mixed season in Utica though. Solid numbers but fairly weak in his own end. He needs at least another year in the minors. If they weren't chasing the playoffs it might make sense. |

Career AHLer or trade sweetener. No proof to the contrary.
Next training camp is his next audition. |

Anyone know the name of that NCAA Dman that leads the league in suspensions ?
He is suppose to be very good offensively also?
McKenzie said Canucks Oilers Flames are all in on him |

Well that draft we had ( the lone) third lotto draw and didn't get them. Plus, sadly, there are no players of that caliber in this draft. Not even close.
This draft it's not even a Taylor or Tyler C choice with Nico & Nolan. It really is a dull draft that anyone picked will be a project and we won't see for years probably.
Why developing the young guys we got now is so much more important then how many games we may lose. |

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that is who we should draft and then trade a Dman - VANTEL
I'm going to watch a few of the rockets playoff games. Can't watch Friday (own game) but I agree from what I've seen. It's a bold call but he does seem better than Webber at this level. Maybe not the shot but everything else. Been watching the rockets since 03-04 |

Vantel loves his depth Dmen that hit. - golfingsince
A soon to be 23yr old playing against kids who is lucky if he can be a bottom pairing D. Sorry but not worth a contract unless Utica signs him IMO |

Anyone think either 1 of or both of Lombardi & Sutter deserve the axe?
Missing the PO's 2 of 3 years is hardly a well done job. |

Sounds like WD and Benning without the 2 cups. |

Sorry for calling you a train driver yesterday. It's against the COC. I didn't realize the mods think train driver is a bad thing |

A very astute observation. DL & DS have jobs for life then using that logic.
Math lesson time JB has 1 cup. |

well with his scoring touch I wouldnt think JB would have him go cheap. So teams trading for him would be an prospect with promise based trade, not someone youre ok with losing. Once the Exp draft is over expect a flurry of activity |

I expect more activity than usual early on before the e-draft.
I see the Ducks dealing at least 1 D.
Pens moving MAF if they convince him to waive.
CBJ has a few interesting players that will be exposed.
NYI have too many D to protect
TBL lose a good F
That appears to be maybe the extent of pre e-draft traders |
