From what I saw last year, i'm not optimistic for a high pick. So if we pick 7 or 8 why not trade down? That pick won't be helping the team anytime soon anyway.

With how mixed the lists have been, I wonder if it will be a big year for guys wanting to trade up a few spots to ensure they get their guy.

Kinda like Don said, if the Canucks are sitting 8th and their guy is available, probably wont risk losing out by trading down. Some might get nervous and move up?
