I don't think Benning was lying when he was trying to get into the wild card spot this year.

No injuries, Sedins hitting 60 points, LE scoring 20 plus.

Honestly could have gone that way with some luck and trying to get better in the off season is a classy thing to do. Something that the so called tank teams don't do.

Slow clap for class.

While I would agree that luck serves a major factor in any professional sports league, I don't think building a team around it is a very sustainable approach to building a long-term contender.

Henrik will keep the C until he retires.
let's focus on important things like 2019 rosters.

Why does he remind me of Wellwood??
Good for him.

Enjoy it while he can, he's keeping BB's spot warm on the PP.

Riggggggggggggght,
so then they doubled down on last year's 'tank' by signing Eriksson long-term, trading a 1st,2nd and 4th for a mediocre D-man and screamed playoffs right up until this year's deadline...

Gotcha.
Love how you Benning'ites apply revisionist arguments in an attempt to stay relevant.

Thats the typical short term perspective many impatient fans speak of.
McCann isn't lighting it up on a roster he cannot crack.
The 2nd & 4th r nothing special either.
FLA cannot even make the PO's with their Analytic GM messing it all up.
Let Tallon run the show he built. Worked great in Chicago & was doing great in FLA.

I have been impressed with Bachman's play.

I said that he was a plug when we signed him and had no hope of him playing an NHL game...But he's been good this season.

Real good.

Guddy isn't a top 2 for sure. But he has value to the team. I think he almost has more value in the room than he does on the ice. That's a very important part of any team.

He is young for a D man & unfortunately played injured all year.
What he brings is what we lacked & he fills that need & will serve us well in the role he was brought in for. Not everything is about goals & assists.

couple of lazy turnovers by Boucher. He's gotta be more than a "shooter" to stick in the nhl. not strong enough on the puck.
- storm88

Not seeing that in his game. Couple goals. PP and on 4th line. Something that never worked this season. What a shot on the second. Grade A accuracy and heavy. He should get more ice time with Sutter and Goldy.

Defense keeps you in games offense wins them for you. The balance WD never understood in his deployments.
