I don't know what the obsession is with a first line centre in this particular draft. Just get BPA and if he's a projected 2nd line centre so what. Then we will be really strong at 2nd and 3rd line centre position in the future.
I think that's good right? - bloatedmosquito
Okay, so we end up picking 5th. Patrick, Hischier, Vilardi, and Tippett are taken. Who do you take? Who's the BPA? |

Personally, if we have a pick in the 3-5 range, the guy I take starts with an M |

Pavel Datsyuk drafted 171 . Picks up mic hands it back to you and tells you that you dropped something. |

I'll just drop it again once I tell you that Josi was also a 2nd rounder, Karlsson was the 8th Dman drafted in 2008 and Burns was a mother(frank)ing forward when he was drafted. Drafting Dmen in the top 10 is a waste of time. You NEED to go after those elite skillsets when you can. |

Middlestadt? Makar?
Either would be a solid pick. Just think that this year there is a lot of difference of opinion on who the BPA is after the 2nd pick. |

Makar i luv but it means trading Tanev prolly.
Even then Foote stands out &/or BPA never hurts. |

Both mid round picks in historically good draft years....this year is historically poor |

Yup sounds like something we would do. |

We lack scoring big time & the PP is pathetic.
Answer is a playmaking C & sniping & a PP QB.
How we do that is the $64k Q. |

Projecting our cap forward it doesn't matter much if managed right. |
