they've got enough open spots to protect carrier i think? either way, devils advocate would be they have to get to the cap floor no? Gorges for one year probably works for them tbh. - Sabresfan-365
They can protect Carrier is they leave Ennis exposed
As far as the floor goes,
Vegas will have PLENTY of options to get there
Every team will expose their versions of Moulson & Gorges
Maybe Murray send them some picks to take one of our bad contracts,
But every GM is probably thinking the same thing |

say it as often as you like because im not talking about an offer sheet. its a negotiation window where vegas has a chance to sign some RFAs that arent getting protected. It may come down to wanting to keep a guy like carrier over girgs because of cost. - Sabresfan-365
I don't feel like any of them are an integral part of the plan. |

They are going to get someone like Ennis or Gorges I guarantee it. |

they could, my point was its not some foregone conclusion. Theyve got a lot of options available to them and unfortunately we just have to roll with it. |

According to a draft sim I used, it looks like Carrier has to play a certain number of games this season to be eligible to be exposed. I'd keep him off the roster personally. - stashu
Hmmm...
I believe what you're referring to are the standards that we have to meet by exposing players
For example,
I believe we have to expose 2 forwards who meet the minimum standards
Moulson & Deslauriers have that covered for us
They're in place so teams don't sign guys like Cal O'Reilly to 2 way deals just to expose a bunch of crap to Vegas
Carrier is a 3rd year pro
So he's eligible to be taken even if he doesn't meet those standards

Not really. Murray isn't just rolling with it. He all ready proactively has had conversations where he reminded McPhee he did him a favor. And Murray sounded confident Vegas would do him one too. |

Not true. Read it from a legit Buffalo Sports news guy. Can't remember who. Carrier has to play a certain number of games 3rd year pro or not. |

I like it. If it weren't for this draft we wouldn't be having a solid chance at plucking a solid top 3 defenceman from a expansion scared team. |

Again, im not referring specifically to murray and mcphee. this entire set up is designed for Vegas to be in control from start to finish. Maybe mcphee will pay his favour back at the draft, maybe he'll do it later who knows. But i can only assume theyve planned out every scenario and know what they're going to do in each one. |

The deflection happens with sufficient time to stop...meanwhile they are in slow mo and it's literally only a couple of frames difference between the deflection and impact.

im not confident this draft changes that unless they pay up, which youd have to do in a non expansion year anyways. |

Oh, I guess that could make sense, maybe they list players that way because it would mean it can't be X number of players ineligible in that way and then not make up the rest of the exposed with too few "eligible". Thanks for pointing that out, I thought it was awfully odd that he would be ineligible. |

The notion that Murray did McPhee a favor is posturing. McPhee's job is to do what's best for his team, and he will do just that. |

tank next year, solves all of our problems
https://twitter.com/cmore...status/845691580539297792 - Sabresfan-365
Can't tank for Dahlin. Someone is going to break Crosby in half during these playoffs, then Pittsburgh is going to cry to Bettman that if he doesn't hand them the #1 pick next draft, they'll leave. So, fate is already sealed on handing Pittsburgh their next superstar player. |

Murray and every single Canadian mainstream hockey insider type guy have said this expansion draft will make things a lot more exciting for teams trading away players in order to not lose them for nothing. No reason we can't be one of the ones benefiting. |

I'm completely boggled by the idea one team would ever do a favor for another, at least in terms of personnel. |

An entire season for Lehner he still can't shake the "oft injured" rep he never earned.
Your a beaut. - Der Kaiser
I have not used it in a while
I threw the grenade at you to stir things up
I have already gone on the record saying I have no problem with lehner this season and would give him 3 years at 4.5 per this summer |
