The "exorbitant resale price" has been a myth for quite a while now. One simply needs to merely check out Stubhub for that. It's now merely season ticket holders having better things to do than deal with half the building full of people from up north. The will change when both teams are good, and hopefully we get 3 or 4 games on HNIC per year. |

Jack Eichel is a freaking beast. Love that player. Get rid of the coach, put the "C" on Jack, and we're good to go. |

Great game last night. It's nice to see the two natural geographic rivals play a spirited game. It hasn't happened in years when both were bottom dwellers. While the Leafs have leap-frogged us this year, I think next year will be the one to watch with both teams making the playoffs, assuming Murray can get some d-men.
Regarding Jack, he has been outstanding since his return. He is now 9th overall in ppg for those > 50 games played. I think it's great that everyone focuses on McJesus, the Leafs trio and Laine. This will be the fire that keeps burning in Jack's belly for years to come.
Regarding Austin, I sure like him and Falk out there more than Franson. At a fraction of the salary, if we are going to have a 6 foot 5 guy in the line-up, I want him to be able to skate faster than a turtle. I don't care about fancy analytics, everytime Franson is on the ice, I just cringe at watching him skate. |

Erod, Carrier also had good games. Our depth players are decent. Murray just needs to get Vegas or others to take some of that dead weight off our team - re: Moulson, Ennis, Bogo etc. We just can't afford to have that much salary tied up in those types of players. |

I believe he's still playing in the KHL playoffs with Metallurg. He's having a nice playoffs with 3g and 3a in 11 games. He's also getting 23:43 TOI/G and frankly he's one of the best d men in that league. We gotta sign him. And he's 24. |

I know most people here consider Ennis to be dead weight, but when healthy this guys can still really play. That pass to O'reilly was really heads-up. A healthy Ennis on this team it think can still be a 20g 45pt player. |

Ennis is dead weight? Do you watch Sabres games at all? Ennis is a goal scorer with great puck posession. |

Ennis played his best game in a long time last night. Unfortunately, those are way to few and far between nowadays. The Sabres need to move on from him if they can. |

I think he is a dead-weight due to his health issues and the amount of salary he is paid, relative to guys like Baptiste, Bailey and others coming up. I would rather we traded away his $4 million+ salary and used that to land a couple of good d-men.

Jerry Sullivan of the Buffalo News believes it's "only a matter of time" until the Bills fire GM Doug Whaley.
Whaley has been at odds with new coach Sean McDermott seemingly since the day he was hired. Sullivan believes that Whaley has already lost the power struggle in Buffalo with McDermott emerging as the team's "voice." We saw this play out early in the month when Buffalo kept Tyrod Taylor on a restructured deal, a decision that was heavily influenced by McDermott. Sullivan believes Whaley's exodus could occur sometime after the draft. At that point, McDermott would likely bring in a GM of his choosing. Sullivan mentioned Panthers director of player personnel Don Gregory as a possible replacement for Whaley.
And this is news ? |

three sets of back-to-backs:
Monday vs. FLA/ Tuesday @ CLB
April 2 vs. NYI/ April 3 vs. TOR
April 7 @ FLA/ April 8 @ TBL
methinks the sabres might go a bit easy in the NYI game and try to save some energy for Toronto |
