What does Connor Knapp have to do with Cal Petersen? Wasn't Knapp the goalie who suffered the serious concussion in Philly on a cheap shot to the head as the guy skated through the crease? No penalty by the way. or was that Nathan Liewuen?

Am I the only Buffalo fan that thought what Eichel did was a little excessive ? Taunting another teams' fans ? Seems a little childish and unprofessional. I just didn't like it. Or, am I just an old fart ?

The guy clearly likes playing for the team, hates playing for the coach. Our building was over 50% Leafs fans. I thought it was (frank)ing awesome. He's passionate and aware of our rivals, especially the Toronto rivalry.

Taunting? He scored a goal. By this logic, he shouldn't celebrate towards our fans.

Excessive? He skates at the glass and slams into it, something "fans" do all game long when a player on their team scores or there's play along the boards or there's a big hit, etc... Then he turned around and that was that. It wasn't even close to excessive.

It hurts we missed out on Clayton Keller

If I had the the choice between Connor McDavid and Jack eichel my choice will always be Connor McDavid

He just has that it Factor that can get you to the next level

I honestly would rather have Eichel. McDavid is just plain great and a fantastic playmaker but there's something unique about Eichel and he's got an Ovechkin-type shot. I'm partial to American players, too (go figure!).

McDavid will always rack up the points. He'll be about a 1.25 ppg player his whole career.

But I can't put my finger on it, there is something very unique about Eichel, form his skating to his awareness. He's beyond passionate, too. Good lover. I just think that McDavid's ceiling is not too far form where he already is but Eichel's ceiling is higher. Who knows if he'll reach it. But he looks dominant sometimes. McDavid isn't so dominant, he's just flat out good.
