That's right not much ... not much Talent there

Until they call all penalties, or at least very close to all penalties, the pace of play and quality of play won't be as great as it can be.

Im probably way off here but from what i saw in the last game it has less to do with penalty calls and more to do with coaching.

The first two periods were great hockey. The sabres shut it down in the third and there was literally nothing going on.

Even if you called close to every penalty as defined in the rules, the majority of this game is played at 5 on 5. Fixing the entertainment factor starts and ends there.

This is the one sport where you can create end to end action thats just on a completely different level and i hate that coaches, development programs etc have placed an emphasis on discouraging this.

he's single handedly dropped 4 points in the shootout. They dont exist in the playoffs but at that rate, assuming any kind of improvement next year from the team, he could be the difference between playing in late april and drafting 14th overall.

It's definitely an interesting place for teams, but I don't think they will take spare parts for nothing.

It's going to have to be an over-payment for them to consider a piece of trash.

So, I'm not sure if it was mentioned or if it kind of flew under the radar, but Johansson signed his ELC and started the game on Saturday in Rochester. The blurb in the Buffalo News mentioned that he's expected to be the starter next year in Rochester.

So that tells me they either expect to lose Ullmark in the Expansion draft, or that's the "deal" that Murray has with McPhee because of the "favor" Murray did for him like 2 years ago in taking Klesla in the trade with Washington and Ullmark will be the backup here next year.
