This.

It's weird how people here feel it's a bad thing to have a surplus of youth at one position, they assume all of them will pan out so someone has to be traded. Let them all play, see how they develop, and let them fight for their spot on the team

That's how you build a healthy winning environment, 3rd/4th line veteran mentors be damned.

- Nucker101

And your right, but there are a lot of rumors around Hutton being traded. Personally I would love for JB to find a way to acquire another pick and get Necas/Mittlestadt(unless picks top 2) and then Makar/Foote from this draft.

Yeah, maybe a taste but even that might not be productive. I do think him playing with men is a good idea but if your team isn't going to be competitive then what will he gain? You don't want him losing his confidence or getting hurt.
- Kaynine

He will be 6'3....185 next season? 190? You act like he is a small child with fragile feelings

Incorrect. There is no spot forced open for OJ.
Jr is a waste of time.
6-7D if he forces his way into the roster.

Off to Europe against men is fine too.

- Nighthawk

1) He's not dominating junior, it's usually a waste when a guy is just flat out dominating every night or has a man's body. There's been dman who have had similar seasons that he's just had that got sent back again. It's not like he's going back for his overage season.

2) I think he'd be better of in the OHL/Europe rather than being in and out of the lineup in the NHL

What he looks like is playing against kids his own age or younger. Him playing against faster, stronger, and smarter players won't be the same.
- Kaynine

We know this. His game is NHL speed & calibre.
Its his physical build that is not ready.

He cannot play in Utica
- Nighthawk

I know that I thought that was understood here.

I said if he i not ready for Canucks go play in Europe.

When I said most want him to play in Utica I meant 2019 not net year.

I haven't heard one analysis/expert say he is ready for the NHL. Who said he is?
- Kaynine

I did. I'm an expert

He's around 180-185 lbs I'd guess from watching him. If he can get to that 190-192 range, that would help for sure.

I'll take Mittelstadt top 2.
I like Huttons skating & offense & can wait for hs D to get better.

It's not about his height or weight, it's about his physical strength. Boys are not as strong as men.

It would be funny to go back a few years to see what some of the projected lineups for teams by fans were ...probably a few shinks and subbans pencilled in there

Short n Sweet of itπŸ‘πŸ‘

Watching Tanev closely all game also. I notice he is slow to headman the puck.
Too often when a F is free he passes when they r getting a man on. Its continuous.

ok he's the exception. There really is truth to man strength. Your tendons and joints are stronger, your muscle strength is just different.

Have you been to the gym with him recently? I heard he can do more pull ups than Bennet for what that's worth

What does size have to do with anything? He is 19 year old! What's the rush? We have 7/8 dmen that will be under contract next yr. like everyone thinks we aren't going to be very good again next year, so why put him threw that?
